Cardinal Virtues

  1. Prudence: habitually make wise choices
  2. Justice: give each his due
  3. Fortitude: seek good even when difficult
  4. Temperance: balance our desires and use of created things

These four virtues date back at least as far as the ancient Greek philosophers. Dig that? Over 2000 years of advice on how not to be a douchebag climbing out of a stinking cesspool. And, yet...
