The History of Cannabis
A long time ago, back when cave people were prevalent,
there existed a little plant, named Mary Jane,
that loved blowing in the breeze, light rains, and the occasional trim.
The Alienation of Cannabis
When Harry J. Anslinger
became the head of the Federal Bureau of Narcotics, he took it upon himself to denounce Mary Jane.
Since governments always need money and since Mary Jane was well known for her socializing and money raising skills, a very jealous Harry and his yes-men bureaucrats decided to persecute Mary Jane and her friends. They used their influence to attack Mary Jane's character. If she'd been human, she might have had a slander/libel case.
Harry et al. decided that Mary Jane was mad (like crazy) and should never blow in the breeze, feel a light rain, or get an occasional trim.
Many years passed.
But the lies that Harry started spread far and wide throughout the land. Eventually, Mary Jane and her friends became outlaws. Harry's hatred became a rallying call, "Eradicate, Mary Jane.". And, the police across the land heeded that call:
Mary Jane and her friends took to secretly meeting, to hiding in the woods, and to living in the closet (albeit a lit-up-like-the-sun closet).
The enforcement officers, who'd inherited Harry's hatred, took to sending imposters into places they thought Mary Jane might be hiding. These fake friends would spy on Mary Jane and do fucked up things to her friends, Horror Stories on Herb.co.
So, Mary Jane and her friends got tired of hiding in the closet, of never feeling a light breeze. They started movements, finding others who also felt perscuted and longed for the sunlight.
They showed how wonderful and helpful Mary Jane can be for all kinds of medical issues. She's got a natural inclination towards healing therapies, you see, she's a natural at working with cannabinoid receptors. Even, Harry's Cohorts—the bureaucrats out for a dime—know how helpful Mary Jane can be. In fact, she's patented:
