Me Professionally Recorded On The Drums With Some Pics - Please Enjoy The Show
I hope you'll listen to this track of this studio recording track of me playing with one of my old bands. I'm not sure why, but nothing means more than when my drums are heard.
I've barely shared anything from my past bands, but this is a start. I'll probably shy away from live gig footage and a few music videos, but maybe that'll change. I'm playing weekly in the studio now with a new group with female vocals and it's starting to take shape. She has a record label contract and lots of connects. I think we'll be able to get shows within a few months.
This song here was written and is owned by my former band's leader, Aaron, so it's not mine. However, I came up with my own drum parts for it and we recorded it in either 2015 or 2016. The drum set pictures were taken right after recording. I love the reflections in the second one. We recorded in an old converted church.
The track opens up with some soft lyrics and guitar before I cue the harder stuff at 1:23. This song was my favorite to play live. The crowd really got into the heavy grooves and I played more liberally to their energy in person. We also have a music video of us playing this in both a theater and a cornfield... Go figure.
I also tried to do my first real try at slideshow editing with a few small transitions throughout when the mood changed.
God, I miss playing live.

Nice to hear from you and thank you. I've tried my best to stick with it. Sounds easy, but not always. I've spent a lot of time for a future vision.
Going to SteemFest really helped to meet good people and keep in touch with them. I started going to the gym on January 1 and have been getting back into shape.
Have you been exercising regularly or that got impacted with your visit?
well I'm sort of addicted to physical activities, so that is a must for me haha!

Dude, hell yes! that was a great song! The build up to the end was epic! You guys play well together.
That really means a lot. Sometimes I get so caught up in what life throws at me that I forget I'm a drummer, and need to keep hammering as much as I need to eat. Simple reinforcement like this really gets me fired up to play again, so thank you. Plus, Steemit and Dtube surely need more drums.
The crescendo at the end was so much fun to play. When live, I used to ride the double bass much more and my guitar player would sometimes go full metal with me.

Even though you said professionally, I just wasn't expecting such quality! I enjoyed the tune and the guitar kind of reminded me of the music in a game called "This War of Mine"
I was in the music industry a few years ago. I didn't do any music myself. A buddy and I started a record label/entertainment company. Even signed a rapper and recorded a few singles! Well, the rapper did. I guess I just helped finance the studio time. We've changed our business model a bit since then, and my buddy is the talent now (Model/Actor) simply because it was too risky investing in someone that we had to put under a contract. I got him to join Steemit (@starrfeli) but his following is on instagram. It'll still take some convincing, but it'll get there.

Thanks for listing and your feedback. I didn't expect you to be proficient at the harp or have worked with rappers, or be Latin American. You're just full of surprises. The harp warrants some type of demonstration since I seriously can't visualize you playing it at all.
LOL, thanks but I wouldn't say I am proficient. I've considered playing the harp live stream. More like a "Learning the Harp live" kinda gig, since I am still learning and I haven't played in quite some time. One of the notes on my harp is kinda messed up, so I want a new one.

Hah! On my phone, your comment was cut off after Nickleback In the preview, so my jaw dropped and I cried. Then I opened the full comment and the tears stopped.
I actually didn’t like most of the songs in this band, but I tried to make them more of my style by drumming harder than was called for. The guitar player was a friend from college, so he knew and sensed that from me and would join in to de-Nickel the songs (especially live). Thanks for listening.

Haven't made it over there! He actually just texted a pic of him with the snare, the base and one stand tom in the house! (They were in the garage). He's using them on an app that runs multi track, and he plays his guitar for one track, his banjo for one track, another instrument for another track; I don't know how many instruments he's going to play for his song. A bunch, I guess! We'll see what happens...to be cont'd! ={) }}}}}}

Heavy drums my man, sounded tight. This singer has a sorta pearl jam vibe at the beginning, i dig.
How many keys and chords do your tools of the trade have?! This is how I cope. Sob.
His voice worked well in some songs and then got drowned out in others. This was also one his better songs lyrically, so it was enjoyable to play since it was easier to amplify the meaning behind his words.
Ya i actually liked what was going on at the beginning lyrically and vocally. Not so much as he got into the high. Not that it was bad or anything, his voice just has a more appealing colour for me in the lower reg.
