3 Reasons Why I am Not Uploading Regularly On DTube
I often get asked that I should join Dtube to upload my videos and be a part of the community, which is excellent advice, but I have to say that there are 3 reasons why I'm not uploading my videos on Dtube. I know that it's sad to hear but believe me, I have my reasons for it.
Maybe some of you could give me some advice or any suggestions on how I could make it work because I don't really know what to do. If you also have feedback for me, please feel free to let me know what your thoughts are on the whole situation...

Hello, the videos are not deleted by purpose, that's how ipfs technology works to save the space. You can always host your videos or ask someone to host them for you. For example we have a witness @igormuba , you can ask him to host for you videos just if you vote for him as a witness, he is hosting videos for free. You can find him on discord igormuba#6942 and your videos will be on there forever.
About watching videos, you can use incognito mode of the browser, or try yoursmartphone and it will work there. I watched your whole video and I always watch all videos.
You can also join dtube communities and you will find a lot of support there as well. As well you can join the main discord server of dtube and take a look at the help channel there : https://discord.gg/nGP38Rz

I know that they are not getting deleted on purpose but it's still frustrating to see that they disappear after a few months.. maybe it also depends on the content people create that it doesn't matter but for me it does matter...
And how does the hosting thing works?
So you use the incognito mode or your smartphone to watch it and it works without a problem? Hmm.. so I have to try that for the next video I watch! Thanks :)
I am in the Dtube Discord channel... where I read about lots of these issues that I pointed out.. and it still does the same issues...

Hi Melissa, Some positive and encouraging things I want top point, annd suggest. Mainly because you come across as a quality Global contributor.
I'm fairly new to DTube about one month, and I have the same concerns, I manufacturer clothing and also work Globally with distributors so it's extremely important to me that if I make a video that it will be available in the future, I agree 1 million percent with your feelings. I will and can say something positive there has been and are some ongoing people/companies working on different possible methods of having hosting for their videos, I'm not saying it's fixed 100%, but I am saying while I have experienced some uploading or viewing issue the same as you have, I have found that the STRONG GLOBAL COMMUNITY working together will continue to improve the DTube user experience. yeah, I mean I can see that Dtube has improve but it still has a lot of problems which is pretty annoying if Dtube wants to get new people and it's not really working...
Are you on Discord? Maybe you could give me more information about the hosting part? Is this where people will hold my videos?
It's a really strong community and I really enjoy it to be part of it and I guess you love being part of it as well because it sounds like you do :D
I'll try to find a solution, but I've tried it so often which you can't tell because they are getting deleted...

I agree with you 100%. I'm also in a love-hate relationship with dTube and the removal of video content. Unless this is taken care of this service will not grow. Maybe that's a reason for this disappearance of content. I upload my video to Youtube as a backup until something more solid is created.
By the way, I'm not into the makeup tutorial thing but I felt like I had to give you some feedback. You are not alone in your thoughts...Merry Chrsitmas to you as well!!

They aren't deleted now. They might be harder to find though. After the hardfork 2.0 the videos stay up for about 30 days now.
Once way around this is to record the URLs and save them in a text file, and link each video part in the next part so to speak.
As for livestreaming, yes it's annoying that it no longer works.
It's not just you, watching DTube can take a while to download.
VIMM is a way of livestreaming here but it's mainly for gaming.
@shaidon but you just said it yourself that they will stay up for 30 days...and after that? So, you're saying that the video is still there and ''logged into'' a text file? Is this file always available? And do i have that file? Because I uploaded once a video about a bird and it's still there on Steemit but if you click on the video it's not working because it's ''gone.

It’s true that for your content it would be much better if it wasn’t deleted but maybe you can double post your content on YouTube and on dtube until that issue is fixed, so that you don’t lose anything. Bit you’re making valid points !

Yeah, I thought about that as well but I'm not sure if and how I should do it because I really want to be a part on #dtube as well!
My opinion is that at present time Dtube is only good for the possibility of an upvote from the dtube account and possibility of a new audience finding you through dtube. What I would recommend is continuing to upload to youtube as you do now, and cross posting to dtube with the youtube link in the body of the post as well so if anyone is having trouble watching the dtube video they can still watch the youtube. C urrently, Dtube doesn't work as a stand alone video hosting service for a content creator who cares about back catalog being watchable (and really, that is going to be most content creators). @carlgnash yeah, I totally agree with what you're saying! And I guess it will take some years to get projects running, especially if you want to keep it decentralized..

Thanks for this advice. I am also having problems with D tube. My main problem is that it takes too long to upload. And I cant up load high quality resolution videos. Keep making videos girl. I dont look good with make up, because I am a guy. But I will show theme to my wife. But keep making clips about vloging.
