Dtube exclusive video...showing the beginning of the Tail of Hurricane Irma in St Maarten

in #dtube7 years ago

This is a Dtube exclusive video, capturing the ending of the eye of Hurricane Irma and the beginning of the tail of Hurricane Irma. If you followed up my previous post and took a look of the photos I posted of the outside of the apartment, you would notice that tail of the Hurricane Irma removed the roof from the building on the other side of the road and smash it into the cars park in front of the building. It would have been great to capture this moment, but it got extremely cloudy and the intensity of the wind made it an impossible task.

Here is a link to the previous post of the photos

To those of you who aren't familiar, the tail of any Hurricane is considered by most to be the most powerful and Irma lived up to that expectation. The roofs that were left standing at the head and eye pass over were flawlessly taken apart with the tail, the neighbor roof on the other side of the road that was smashed into the cars parked.

This is an exclusive Dtube video capturing the the ending of the eye of Hurricane Irma and the beginning of the tail.

Thank you for your support

Man, Dtube is really awesome, thanks for sharing this vid. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

I've never personally experience a hurricane in my life, but after watching some of these videos on Irma and Maria, I've decided never to travel to the Caribbean during hurricane season.

I was thinking out of the box, we depend heavily on Tourism probably that can be apart of package for those adrenaline seekers...I would certainly encourage everyone to consider the Caribbean as a destination for holidays after the Hurricane season is over, its one great way of giving your support as its the main source of revenue for most of these islands...

I agree. The Caribbean islands depend on tourist dollars and it would be a great shame if people stopped coming because of the hurricanes.

Thank you so much I appreciated it

I join in grief over the disaster that happened there Hopefully you guys there quickly rose and Hurricane irma stop and go away and not come back.

thanks for sharing @daudimitch all the best for you

Certainly hope that this Hurricane season is an exception but if its the beginning of a cycle then its doesn't stand well

St Maarten is a dangerous place to be in any hurricane. I was there for a tropical storm and that was a very intense experience. I remember the beautiful blue water changing to a brown color after that.

Hope everything is ok with the house.

House is gone but the blue waters would be back soon...its a tropical paradise but not the place you want to be during a hurricane season

I wish all the best to the people hit by those hurricanes, I hope you'll rebuild stronger and would love to go back to a beautiful SXM one day :)

Certainly, the Dutch islands are amazing, recommend it to anyone
