Steemit Open Mic Week #63 - She will be Loved by Maroon 5 (Cover)
I’m branching out this week and doing my first Open Mic submission on Dtube! I did a test last night on a non open-mic post to see how well it worked. I had quite a few people watch the video and it seemed to be a pretty smooth and seamless experience. I’d love to get feedback on your experience though! If anyone has issues with watching the video - please let me know. If possible, i'd like to support Dtube more regularly moving forward.
This is my 11th week participating and open mic has become a regular part of my weekly routine. I love listening to all of the amazing musicians on this platform and getting to be part of this community. As always, thanks to our amazing hosts - @luzcypher and @pfunk. Also big thanks to our other judges, @soundlegion, @krystle, @verbal-d, @passion-ground, and @jessamynorchard. It is a huge commitment to be an open mic judge and I appreciate the time each of you spends growing this community.

I really enjoyed this. It's always a miracle to me when someone can play an instrument and sing at the same time.
Do you do open mics at live venues?
Thanks @jenkinrocket! I’m so used to playing an instrument while singing that if I didn’t have one... I probably wouldn’t know what to do with my hands! haha
So far, the bravest I’ve gotten is Steemit open mic... but maybe one day I’ll hit the real stage! I have a singing buddy that I practice harmonies with. If I could talk her into doing a live open mic... I would think about it. Power in numbers!

This is the second D-tube entry that I was able to listen to today without any technical interruption - and that's a good thing - just like your rendition of this Maroon-5 cover... :-)
Glad to hear you were able to listen to the video with no problems! It seems like their latest updates have really helped a lot.
Dtube definitely needs to work on having usable links to share. Even though I tried to imbed the link in my comment on the open mic page, it still doesn’t let you play it right there like YouTube. I trust they are working on this and will improve as they go.

I love this song .. i actually make my students play maroon 5 songs to get them rockin on their instruments ( i do some ensemble direction at schools and I always get some 'old' maroon 5 songs in their repertoire haha ) . Your singing actually gave it a bit more of a 'vintage' vibe to it . I liked that you didn't stick to the original and gave it your own interpretation . It worked out nicely! Thanks for sharing ! Great idea to have them start out with Maroon 5 songs. Their songs usually have a simple chord structure and predictable pattern. Besides, like you said, people usually have fun rocking out to them!
Next week they are playing ''This Love'' Live hehehe , they get all fired up with the opening riff :p

Yess!! I love maroon 5!! And that is one of my favorite songs by them! ( hard to pick favorites though) saw them live last year... they are just as awesome.. and Adam as handsome as he looks on tv

i 've been lucky lately.. since Costa Rica is such a small country nobody even consider it to perfore... but lately we get more and more artists coming! specially the last 2 years! we had Bruno Mars the 7th of December. I didn't have the money so i didn't go.. but we will have the killers next year in March.. i am so buying the tickets next week when they start selling them!
