Celebrating 2 Years on the Steem Blockchain!
Hi Friends!
Due to the fact that Steem is a world-wide community - I usually wake up to a handful of notifications for things that happened while I was sleeping. Today though, I had a notification that was pretty exciting. @steemitboard let me know that I'd hit my two year anniversary on the platform!
I promise I don't get too sappy in this vlog as I reminisce over a few steem moments - because after all I did just do an entire sappy post for the Steem Gratitude Challenge recently, but I do talk about how being on Steem has really shifted my perspective and opened a lot of doors for me in the crypto space. It's now an area that i'm shifting my work to be full time within - which should happen sooner rather than later. I'm in a really exciting moment in my life right now and I Steem to thank for a lot of that.
As promised in the vlog - here are a few of the posts I was referring to! The top two posts are some of my first pieces of content on the platform and were things I was really proud of. I probably spent over 10 hours on each post! The video link below was my accidental Youtube hit. I made the ukulele tutorial for @dtube and just loaded it up to Youtube as storage - and it's really taken off!
My first @curie post... This moment was a big catalyst for getting me hooked on the platform! It's all of my best barista hacks in one spot.

Thanks so much for being on this fun ride with me! The fact that I flew around the world (and will again this year) to hang out with a buncha people I met online really shows how cool this community is. I think Bangkok is going to be one of my most epic travel experiences to date and that's because I can't wait to hang out with you all again. ♥️

Two years here feels like 10 life years. Congrats on surviving one Steem Decade.
I can't remember what made me follow your account, which post. Probably music something. I do remember probably the first time you stopped in over at my place to say a few words though, I remember which post. For some reason I rarely forget that stuff.
Anyway, enough rambling from me. It's hot here as well. That's probably why.

hahah YES!! omg that was so embarrassing. LOL I think it was my 65 rep "milestone" post. I literally bought cake, balloons, confetti and all sorts of things and made a massive mess in my house trying to make all those "party" gif's. 😂

Congrats on being here 2 years! I’ve been here nearly as long but I haven’t been as active. That will change now that I have got things sorted.
Ideally I would love to be a full time Steemian but we’ll see how things pan out.

So exiting that you are ramping up your content! I think if we can get back to $5 steem - we'll start seeing more full time steemians - but we've got a long way to go until we hit that again.
While the tides out it’s an opportunity to put content on the platform for people to find when they get back.
I’d like to reach Dolphin level before Christmas but we’ll see what happens.
I try not to focus on the price of Steem too much as it’s only really useful if you’re selling Steem for cash. We have regular meet ups where we do that in person.
It’s a distraction from having fun on the platform.

I have clicked on your posts and it's really really good. I don't have any experience with those high payout days, I just joined here last November. But, yeah, looking at it feels wonderful and hopeful about steemit.
I hope we get back to that point too! The excitement and buzz around here was so fun.
