c0ff33 Vlog 24th May 2019
The end of another hectic week, including two trips to London and back averaging 220 miles driving per day Monday to Thursday. It hasn't left me very much time to do anything else this week, although I have done my best to grab a few moments here and there to check out posts and leave a few comments.
I did manage to grab a few photos of some of the buildings around London, while dodging cars, scooters and push bikes - all of which seem determined and making forward motion whether or not someone else might be in there way.
During the boring hours of motorway driving I did contemplate the evolution of the Steem blockchain, with the current incentive for SteemOnboarding bringing new users in there will need to a big push toward having active people curating content and supporting it with comments - automation works well in some instances but there will need to be real people looking at and supporting this new content. And I'm wondering where in these plans that is going to happen.

The greatest challenge we face on Steemit is getting our posts seen, I have always believed the simplest and best value way of doing this is by commenting on the blog posts of others, the more you engage people and interact with them the greater the chance they will visit your own blog and return the favour. 2017 blogging, 2018 Witness, 2019?
Driving is the best time to think things through. Don't envy you driving around London as it is no fun what so ever and parking is a nightmare. I think I used to spend on average around 100 Pounds per week just on parking.
Well at least you got home safe without dragging any scooters back with you...nice building by the way :)

To improving engagement on the blockchain. I have suggested that we do away with the rep scores as they are misleading and can be bought and instead institute an engagment score or engagement quotient (EQ). All payouts will be tied to a steemian's EQ. We will not receive any payouts without having a high EQ. A high EQ comes from unique comments and unique upvotes given. This would mean that even bidbots start to work in our favor. Paying for a bidbot upvote would only payout if one also had high EQ. One also would be penalized for only upvoting themselves or a few accounts because this would result in a low EQ score.
I recognise the building in the first photo. Earls court or West Kensington?.. up that way anyway.
