"Can I have realization by taking drugs?"

in #drugs6 years ago

Disclaimer: In this post, I am not speaking about the benefit of drugs to the quality of life, as in some instances natural herbs, that are considered drugs, are quite helpful to the well being of the individual. While those instances may serve one well, I am speaking about the use of any outside substance to change consciousness. Such attempts are futile for the long run.

Hi,

I have been reading what you say about TrueLove and realization and the way to attain it. You often mention the need to alter my awareness, my way of thinking and my regular consciousness. So I ask you – why not take drugs to make it faster and simpler?

And what would you say in general to those who use any kind of drugs and report enjoying the effects and the big influence on their lives?

I guess what I am asking is why not take drugs when a lot of people use them?

Thanks,

J.F.

J.,

A lot of people are also very miserable. Is that a good reason to mimic them by being unhappy?! Forget other people, they are meaningless to you. What counts is you and you alone; let’s deal with that.

So you ask if taking drugs is good or wrong; I tell you that in your terms they are wrong. They are not at all appropriate and will get you nowhere.

The realization you seek can indeed be reached by altering your state of consciousness. You simply train yourself to reach a more expanded level of understanding where freer and more delicate energies are allowed (by you!) to enter your reality (that is your body, your mind, and your soul-spirit).

When you take drugs, and it doesn’t matter what kind, you alter your mind but not on your consciousness. Drugs trick your mind into thinking that you are reaching other levels. In the midst of the experience, that is your trip, you feel different than in your daily routine because your mind gives you what you want.

It is a question of beliefs and the way they shape your reality. Why, you believe that if you take drugs you will see weird things and feel new sensations, so your mind follows to create exactly what you expect. That causes you to think, in error, that you have crossed the boundaries of this reality into higher dimensions of existence while all along you have, in fact, remained in the confines of the earthly world.

When the trip ends you feel exuberant because you remember your recent experiment. Those experiences do not stay with you, however, so you erroneously think that if you take another dose of drugs or even stronger drugs, you will reach higher levels of experience that will accompany you in your everyday reality.

This is a great illusion of course and plenty of drug addicts can testify to it.

The more you take drugs the more you force your mind to unnaturally reconstruct itself until it is so twisted that you lose connection with your reality and the mind can no longer govern and manage the functions of your body. Then realization cannot be attained because you cease to be available to it.

Drugs simply play a trick on the mind with its help. It is as if you used a radio system to try to receive TV broadcasts. No matter how sophisticated your stereo is it is not built to receive TV channels. If you applied a higher voltage to your stereo, falsely thinking that it might make it suitable for TV channels, you would only burn the circuits of your radio system.

Then you would have to buy a new radio which is easier and simpler than getting a new body and mind.

Are you kidding me? I just can’t believe someone even asks that kind of question. My apologies for being too harsh. Taking drugs means to me, in my opinion, not being able to live in reality. Getting addicted. Live disappointing life. Die young and all that for few moments you wouldn’t normaly experience in your real life. In other words, getting in to the black hole deeper and deeper until you die. As you mentioned it’s all just an illusion. Illusion that eventually kills you.

Drugs indeed are very disastrous on the human mind and these contribute a huge negative impact on the human course life.

A few years ago i met some young lady at one of the university, who was about to commit sucide because of the hyper addiction she had gotten her self into as a result of the constant use of drugs. This lady could not eat, sleep, or do any thing else without first smoking drugs. She was heavily depending on drugs and had lost the sense of reality.

At the point i found her, she was so fed up of using these drugs to the extent that she cried tears as she was opening up to me what she was going through.

Drugs are very addictive and can usher some innocent soul into an unreal lifestyle to the extreme points of losing his or her mind.

Thanks for sharing @nomad-magus. I hope this supplement can as well be helpful J.F.

Did you manage to help get in some way? It's almost impossible without the person willingness to stop the addiction.

Yes i did chip in some help to her though it was a very hard task. She had the willingness to stop the use of drugs and she went on reducing its consumption little by little. I kept on visiting and checking on her, monitoring her progress. At times she stopped completely but that didn't last long as she could go back to it and take a little abit of it.

Very true.
Did you feel any guilt by not being able to save her?

Yes! I did feel abit guilt for not being able to save her. Otherwise one thing i am happy at is that i played my part in trying to help her out. Atleast she is still alive and i believe that thought of self destruction is now far away from her. The rest of the part was hers.

I hope you managed to release that guilt. For the sake of helping others in the future 👍

Yes i did and i hope to help many others in the future to overcome such a grave addiction.

Taking drugs is absolutely giving you a fake happiness. You will just create hallucinations and you make yourself think that you are happy but the truth is you are not. And this fake happiness has an opposite reaction after its effect. But real happiness can be felt without any outside stimulants, it can be felt by your inner-self and will give a more satisfying feeling than any synthetic drugs can give.
Thank you very much for sharing this @nomad-magus!❤😊

Out of curiosity have you taken psychedelic drugs your self? More specifically psychedelic plant substances, we've attributed the term drug to some of these and so classify them all together. Have you ever looked into the life changing effects that ayahuasca has on many physically and or mentally sick people? And the experiences they share? Many of these people would argue that a single trip with certain plant medicines has altered their consciousness which has had permanent positive effects on their lives?

I think I mentioned in one of my disclaimers that I have not taken any drugs. In this specific life time that is.

I am for a natural development process, based on one's own consciousness and energies. However, I do understand that some people get so stuck sometimes that they need an outside force to pull them out. Hence, the substances.
For the long run, and if continuously used, such substances, natural or artificial, are impeding one from realization. This is where I stand. 🙂
