Buddy Up Monday is here again and this week's word is Astonish. I like Monday's more than most maybe, cause on Monday I do not have to think of something to write about. It gets provided for me. I only have to think about what I will write about that word. When you think about it. That saves a lot of time filtering through words for something to write about. Astonish

I am not amazed the choice of this word, They always choose words to make life difficult for me somehow.I do be amazed when I actually finish writing about the chosen word though.I do be left here in a daze looking at the screen wondering what to write. My thoughts stagger back and forth from what I wrote to what I am thinking and back again. Only to be left dumbfounded that I actually got something down that will make sense in part.

This is a word I will probably never have used if it was not for this post. Some things can amaze me. Some things daze me and leave me flabbergasted. Astonished, nope. This is another word I just do not understand or where when to use it. I guess the closest I could get would be to be astonished at someone's *********, but if I typed that so many would be astonished at my ********* for writing it.

Why do so many words have so many meanings, add to this the meanings they have are other words. Like astonish, to astonish someone can leave them dumbfounded, stuck for words. Those to are similar and it seems to be mean the same thing.Then comes amaze Now when I am amazed what come to my mind is WTF? or Did you just see that? Are you for F***** real? or in the case of our friends above, I know you didn't just say that. There

Maybe it is just the simplicity of, I do not hear astonished said that often. This could be my my lacking of ability to see how the word is used or when. Although I know of the word and have known for quite some time. t is not one that I use or those around me have used with any frequency.

For me I would prefer to use amazed or thunder-stuck jaw-dropping good. These are words I have heard and have used a time or two.

Once again I have overcome my limitations and to the amazement of myself I have completed a write up about another word.
