Illustration to the Bible - Books Genesis chapter two - #CCCsteemCreated with Sketch.

Greetings, friends, God loves you! Do not doubt!
Today 10.19.2018.
10/16/2018 I continued to draw miniatures to God's Word. I started from the beginning, from the first chapter of Genesis. My intention was to fit the image of one chapter in a sheet of A5 paper, this is half the usual sheet of A4 paper for the printer.

Having an idea is good, but to bring this idea to life is a little more complicated than just coming up.
I began to read the second chapter and gradually the picture began to appear.
It is very useful to read the bible in such a way, with a pen and pencil in hand. You can emphasize your favorite lines, and you can draw them. That's exactly what I did.

It would be great if you have the Bible at hand. So you better understand my story about thumbnails. But, if you do not have the Bible, I will quote the lines from the Holy Scriptures, which gave me thoughts on the image of the plots.

DSC02167.JPG

I began by tearing a piece of paper in two pieces. In those days, when the first lines were written to the word of God, there were no scissors yet.

DSC02134.JPG

Then there were no lines and ballpoint pens, but these are the simplest devices that I allowed myself to use. I need a ruler to mark the frame.

So, the frame is ready, we have one wasp, Let's go! God bless!

For Example -

source - The Holy Bible - Genesis Chpt. 2

1 And the heaven and the earth and all things in them were complete.

2 And on the seventh day God came to the end of all his work; and on the seventh day he took his rest from all the work which he had done.

3 And God gave his blessing to the seventh day and made it holy: because on that day he took his rest from all the work which he had made and done.

4 These are the generations of the heaven and the earth when they were made.

5 In the day when the Lord God made earth and heaven there were no plants of the field on the earth, and no grass had come up: for the Lord God had not sent rain on the earth and there was no man to do work on the land.

6 But a mist went up from the earth, watering all the face of the land.

7 And the Lord God made man from the dust of the earth, breathing into him the breath of life: and man became a living soul.

8 And the Lord God made a garden in the east, in Eden; and there he put the man whom he had made.

9 And out of the earth the Lord made every tree to come, delighting the eye and good for food; and in the middle of the garden, the tree of life and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

10 And a river went out of Eden giving water to the garden; and from there it was parted and became four streams.

11 The name of the first is Pishon, which goes round about all the land of Havilah where there is gold.

12 And the gold of that land is good: there is bdellium and the onyx stone.

13 And the name of the second river is Gihon: this river goes round all the land of Cush.

14 And the name of the third river is Tigris, which goes to the east of Assyria. And the fourth river is Euphrates.

15 And the Lord God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to do work in it and take care of it.

16 And the Lord God gave the man orders, saying, You may freely take of the fruit of every tree of the garden:

17 But of the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil you may not take; for on the day when you take of it, death will certainly come to you.

18 And the Lord God said, It is not good for the man to be by himself: I will make one like himself as a help to him

19 And from the earth the Lord God made every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and took them to the man to see what names he would give them: and whatever name he gave to any living thing, that was its name.

20 And the man gave names to all cattle and to the birds of the air and to every beast of the field; but Adam had no one like himself as a help.

21 And the Lord God sent a deep sleep on the man, and took one of the bones from his side while he was sleeping, joining up the flesh again in its place:

22 And the bone which the Lord God had taken from the man he made into a woman, and took her to the man.

23 And the man said, This is now bone of my bone and flesh of my flesh: let her name be Woman because she was taken out of Man.

24 For this cause will a man go away from his father and his mother and be joined to his wife; and they will be one flesh.

25 And the man and his wife were without clothing, and they had no sense of shame.

The first verse of this chapter speaks of heaven and the heavenly voinst. This army is composed of angels. I drew this verse in the upper right corner of the thumbnail.

DSC02140.JPG

This chapter says that God created man - Adam and gave him a helper - Eva. Their names are not mentioned in this chapter. I drew it, namely the 24th verse in the upper left corner. Husband and wife should always be near. In our family, we try to do just that. Even on a business trip, we went along with the children. We have been on a business trip for 6 years.

DSC02149.JPG

The next story is the 19th and 20th verse of Genesis, the second chapter. God created various animals and entrusted Adam to name each of them, to give them names.
I really like these poems. They make more sense than it seems at first glance. Adam, didn't just give them nicknames, no! He saw the essence, the inner world of every animal, insect, fish and bird. Based on this, he called them. We need to go through mistakes, bites, a sharp sting, a growl and other unpleasant moments to learn the habits of animals. Adam knew each one of them. The whole miniature, I would call - Adam gives the name to the animals around him.

DSC02142.JPG

It turned out so

DSC02143.JPG

Just below Adam and Eve, in the upper left, I painted various animals. They are waiting, they are waiting for their name.

DSC02141.JPG

God, when he created Adam, gave him all kinds of food, but he forbade him to eat the fruits of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, so says the 17th verse of this chapter. I depict this tree near Adam's hands.

DSC02150.JPG

The verse speaks of a river that irrigated the lands of Paradise. It was divided into four rivers. I tried to fit this plot in the lower right corner of the thumbnail.

DSC02152.JPG

The second and seventh verse speak of the period during which the Lord created the Earth, oceans, fish, animals, and man. These are the seven days of the creation of the world. I did not know how to display it to me, but our God is merciful, he drew an hourglass in my imagination, six grains of sand are already at the bottom of the clock, the seventh grain of sand in flight, the day was coming to an end. And at the top of the clock is the fullness of time that the Lord has given to man.

DSC02147.JPG

Since this is all the Word of God, I had to display it. This is the uncovered volume of holy writing in the lower left corner of the miniature.

DSC02151.JPG

In the end, it turned out such a miniature.

DSC02161.JPG

Thus, the thumbnail should look on the main sheet. The main plot fox, I will continue to finalize. A lot of work.

DSC02157.JPG

Thank God! Two chapters from the Bible are already on the table nearby. I really doubted my abilities. I am not an artist, I loved to draw in early childhood. I really hope that my drawing technique will one day become better than it is today, today I don’t have it at all, but I have a great desire to give to God that what I cannot buy is my time.

What a beautiful project! Turning the Word of God into pictures as you go, lovely!

I must say that I think you are wrong to say you are not an artist. Your drawings tell a different story.

Plus I will say you are brave to use a pen and not a pencil! No corrections allowed with pen and ink! Perhaps your hand is being guided to show us the pictures you see?
