I'm looking to delegate out 500 Steem Power each, to two Steemit users to help me curate posts about LGBTQAI and its community. I've already provided this to @limabeing and @thekittygirl, and having built up some more Steem Power, ready to delegate out a bit more. So let's hear why it should go to You!
What I'm looking to Accomplish
I try to keep my expectations pretty simple. I'm wanting to give others an opportunity to help curate the LGBT related posts. So all I'm asking for is:
- Look through LGBT, LGBTQ, Transgender and related tags to look for posts that deserve an upvote. We've recently started having more users curating these areas, to not only provide some more meaningful payouts, but also prompting more people to post on these topics.
- Upvote good comments, especially those that are spurring valuable conversation.
- You do NOT have to use ALL your votes in these areas.
- Only flag people for ABUSE. Don't flag simply because you disagree with their point of view, instead..just don't vote on it.
How to Enter?
1. Write a post on "Why you are a good candidate to curate LGBT related posts."
I really want to leave this rather open ended for you all since there might be things some people may not be comfortable putting in a post. So just some general ideas you can pick and choose from:
- What's your relationship with the LGBTQAI community? (member, ally, etc)
- You're personal experiences, thoughts, etc
- What can be done to bring more LGBTQAI people to Steemit?
- How you have, do and/or plan to help support others (either on or off Steemit.)
2. Leave a link to your post in the comment section below. That will be the only place I'll be looking for them.
3. You can write a post nominating somebody else.
4. I'd prefer these entrants to have 2,000 Steem Power or less (though I can be a little flexible here).
Additional Details
- Entries are being accepted for one week. I will select the winners after this post's payout closes.
- The 500 SP delegation will be for two months. At that time I'll likely rotate this to some other minnows.
- Abuse such as over self-voting, unnecessary flags, etc will cause the delegation to end early.

Nice concept, but as much as I'm pushed to everyday, I can't even write on these topics because of the stigma I'll face in this country. I'm not gay, but I believe in free living. Every body has the right to live their lives the way they want, but they make me look weird when I talk about these things. I'm tired of the homophobic lots around me.

You continue to amaze me with your generosity and commitment. I won’t submit a post, simply because I’m afraid i wouldn’t have the time it deserves. But...
People are people. Period. I’m not L, G, B or T but I will always whole heartedly speak out for, and defend, a human being’s right to be their authentic self and do that in a world of equality.
Probably over simplified, but in my mind it’s just that simple. So if there’s another way I can help, I’m happy to do so.

Absolutely! This will be open at least through tomorrow and start determining the winners on Monday (though I can't promise I've have the chosen and announced monday...but within a couple days.) I'll keep an eye out for your entry!
You should be aware that the process of changing sex is often gradual. Hormones are the first step for many transgender people. Another early move is to start wearing their real sex costume.
You should know that going out to the community as a transgender person is dangerous. Transgender people are not protected in the employment area. Any employer can simply expel them. They are often targeted as victims of ill-treatment and violence.
The transsexual becomes very sensitive to the direction of the conscience used to talk to them; they prefer to talk to them as they feel.

I'm not a big fan of flagging posts that I don't agree with. I prefer conversation to force. I think that it causes more problems than it fixes. But I'm certainly happy that you're trying to be a positive contributer to the Steemit community in general and your community specifically. The more diverse we become the better.

Great movement to start, regardless of your position and if you win or not, this is a massive opportunity to realize how much the LGBT community needs exposure at this point in the game.
When Steemit starts taking shape and the user-count increases we need to make sure the community has gained enough traction and has gained enough exposure to push it forward. See you guys in the comments.

I'm nominating NOT Me. I'm simply too new, and not quite sure what having someone delegate SP to me, means, in terms of time commitment.
