Since I joined several months ago I created a plan of action to solve some of life's problems if you love Steemit.com and call it home. We have tackled problems that primarily save members a lot of time and headaches. Our latest creation allows you to Delegate Steem Power To Whoever You Want Whenver You Want!
When Delegating Steem Power To Whoever You Want And Whenever You Want You Will Save Time.
Let me take you through the old process of delegating steem power so that you can appreciate this new tool from https://SteemThat.com. The old was daunting.
THE OLD WAY WOULD STEAL YOUR SOUL!
Before this tool one would often visit multiple website to try to find the data they need in order to convert The Steem Power you are wanting to delegate to a Vest. If you have no Idea what a Vest you were extremely lost as the Steemit user interface doesn't list it as a vest. The formula for converting on most websites was obscure. Most people that even wrote about it which wasn't many had no idea about vests or Steem power and had zero idea how to convert it. Do a search and you will be swamped with hours of boring reading and you might or might not find a working formula to convert the amount of Steem Power you want to convert to the Vests you need to actually delegate.
For those die hard old way doers here is a working formula that will work every time.
- Visit Steemd.com and look for:
- steem_per_vests:
- 486.615 at the time of this writing.
Now let's do some magic mathematics. Most will need a calculator for this but if not then let's grab coffee because we are few and far between. Let's do the math to get the numbers you need to start the old school process.
- Take 1,000,000 and divide it by the steem_per_vests. In our example today it would look like this: 1,000,000/486.615 = X
- Take Your Answer X and Multiply by by the Amount of Steem Power You Would Actually Like To Delegate. Let's Look At What this looks like: 1,000,000/486.615=2055.0126897034 then Multiply By Steem Power we would like to delegate. Lets make it easy and donate 100 Steem Power... 2055.0126897034 x 100 = Vests.
- In our example we took 1,000,000/486.615= 2055.0126897034. We multiplied that by the amount of Steem Power we wish to delegate and in this example was 100 SP. 2055.0126897034 X 100SP = 205501.26897034 Vests.
But wait that is a weird looking number! It will not work as is...You can have 4, 5 or 6 numbers before the decimal point in the whole numbers place. After the decimal point you must have 6 numbers only. Let's trim that number down to a number that the Steem BlockChain will accept....This is how the number should look.... 205501.268970.

You have been able to work through the math and now have your magic number...Now What Will You Do With It?
If you are not a programmer or know python, js or linux command line you will be going down a long rabbit hole to eventually figure out a way to set-up a virtual machine or find a cloud container service and write some script to handle this magic number and do the things you want to do. You can go down this road and there are several guides from way back in the day that explain this step-by-step. Days later your magic number will do what you want it to do...
Now just teach everyone you know how to do this so that they can delegate steempower to you!
I think you probably have a grasp of how crazy this is and counter productive to delegate steem power this way!
