What is Databroker DAO?

Databroker DAO is the first decentralized marketplace that monetizes data by providing a platform on the blockchain where IoT sensor owners and data buyers come to buy and sell data. The sensor owners make the data emitted from the sensor devices available for sale via the Databroker DAO platform and the data consumers/buyers buy access to these data rights. All this is done using the blockchain technology.



Databroker DAO allows sensor owners who otherwise would have locked up their data in silos to be able to turn this data into a source of revenue. The DataBroker platform, uses smart contract based marketplace on the Ethereum Network, to ensure the unlocking of data through the gateway operator who opens the gateway for data to flow through, the sensor owners then take the data gotten from their sensor devices and sell to the data buyers/processors who have purchased access to data rights. DTX is the ticker of the DataBroker token. This token serves as the currency of the platform. The sensor owner gets 80% of sales which he can use for investments or purchase of more IoT sensor in contrast to locking up data. 20% is shared between the platform and gateway operators.
