Suddenly it was summer ...

in #dailypetphotography5 years ago (edited)

It's been a long time

Well, I haven't been posting for some time and to be honest: I hope you missed me a little bit 😇.

No, of course not - I'm just kidding.
There was just not a lot going on the last weeks. Life was pretty normal.

As you might know already, I'm am a mix of Staffordshire (stubborn) and Rhodesian Ridgeback (the African lion hunter).
This being said, one would expect that temperatures of 30+ degrees C are no problem for me. But they are ...
Normally, I'm very active when we are outside - now I only want to hide from the sun.

It was a lot of work preparing this

I was working on this cave for some time already. Lots of digging had to be done ...

But I'm quite satisfied with the result

If you don't know it you can hardly see it

OK - I still have to wait until there is some grass growing on the sand again.

While I'm hiding in my cave ...

... @psionic-tremors (still burning in the sun) takes some nice photos of the surrounding terrain.

I hope you all enjoy the summer

And if you're from down-under I wish you a mild winter with temperatures I love so much. Twenty degrees C are perfect for me.

How about you?
What's your favorite temperature?

Thanks a lot for stopping by!

Wow, that is quite the impressive cave you have dug! Malcolm would love to have helped dig and hang out in there with you! I always enjoy reading about your adventures. Also your human took some very pretty pictures. I hope you post again soon! :)

Thank you so much @paradigm42!!!
I would love to hang out with Malcolm there and I'm sure he would love it too :)
But you have nice areas too where I would like to be with Malcolm!

Now that the summer started I'll have more to share again, I think.
Thanks again for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment, my most loyal follower 💚

CU soon,
your Marley 🐕

Wow! Seriously? I have seen dogs digging holes, but never a cave! That is awesome :)

Thanks a lot for stopping by @carlgnash :)
Well, I'm quite persistent/preserving if I have something on my mind. I do not give up easily :)

I just had to do that ...

Ooh, I love it: a mix of Staffordshire (stubborn) and Rhodesian Ridgeback (the African lion hunter). And the cactus. Mine, after 15 winters here, didn't come back this spring. I suspect the road crews digging around the ditch must have scraped it away. It always seemed such an anomaly, a cactus native to the Midwest. The thorns were a nightmare - maybe I will let it go.
Great photos!!
