Working Title (MSP Creative Writing Curation)
After the great hardfork of 2018, the blockchain is taking a little bit of time to wake back up. That's ok though, because that gives me the opportunity to feature some of my favorites- old and new!
this poem describes the point in a relationship where we have done everything we can to salvage hope, yet realize what was once our shining reality is now a fading dream.
Discourse by @torico is a gorgeous piece- I love it's use of juxtaposition, the metaphoric verbs. It's one of those poems that you could chew on for days.
In caves, upon islands
and remote
Corners of earth dwell fighters
Lovers and survivors.
The world knows not this depth of heart.
The Dawning by @wandrnrose7 speaks to the hope that comes after the darkest of times.
Likewise, farmpunk is on the edge of the fringes of today's literature.
Farmpunk Fiction Writing Contest by @blockurator offers SBI and possibly steem to contest winners. This genre sounds like it could generate some fascinating work and ideas, and you can find some samples in the comments.
I love how one word can spark imagination. Sometimes I do a word association to see what a word makes me think of, and then I do image searches on those word ideas. Eventually, a picture turns up that sparks the actual story, and I'm off and running.
Chastened by @jayna is such a strong piece of mini-fiction. I think these are some of the hardest types of writing to do- while they are short, they have to be just as compelling as longer pieces.
She took a deep breath, stood at the door. She could do this. The bones of her arms may feel weak, limp, her stomach may be rapidly churning to butter, she might have to force each breath, but she could do this.
Kambra's Doorway Delivery by @calluna is an entertaining mix of genres- a little sci-fi, a little bit of magic, and a lot of suspense.
