Yesterday I had to have yet another catscan, the surgeon ordered that. I don’t have a family doctor, so the surgeon who dealt with the infection has stayed involved on my file. I arrived home to find a phone message from the lung specialist that he wants me to have yet another chest xray.

I am happy that the docs are doing followup and working to make sure that all is well. I’m really starting to wonder about the frequency of the catscans and xrays when each of them expose me to radiation.

The chest xray is a bit troubling. I had one on the eleventh of the month and didn’t hear anything back, so, I figured all was good. Not sure what this one is about. Guess I’ll just have to wait and find out.

The temperatures have moderated the last few days which means I’ve been able to leave the air conditioning off and open windows. I love weather like this.

Why is it funny when I shouldnít be laughing?

The title of @evelyniro’s post did draw my attention but the content wasn’t really what I would expect. I would have expected a post about how we find humour in things that would otherwise be serious. I didn’t find that, instead I found an illustration of a funny story that should have been serious.. Nice start to my search for good posts.

How Do You Define Success?

This post of @pathtosuccess caught my eye. The subject of success is an interest area of mine and I like the style in this post. Going to be looking forward to seeing more from this new member. Give @pathtosuccess some encouragement please.

Flushing money down the toilet - Do you 'cash grab' or relationship build?

@nanzo-scoop illustrates through his recent experiences the importance of building trusting relationships with people you want to do business with. You do know when we write we are asking our readers to for a relationship with us? We need to put the best face forward and provide value. You notice the trades people who failed to do that are on @nanzo-scoop’s will not call again list?

I have a plumber I’ve had to call on occasion. He does good work and is always fair on his price. He’s also often not good at giving me reasonably accurate times when he’s going to arrive. Because of the good work and reasonable pricing, to a point, I forgive the bad time keeping.

He Didn't Even Know it Was There!

I like what @johleen has done here. Selecting the photo to nicely illustrate da Vinci’s quote at the top of the post. I’ve noted before I like some explanation of why the photo speaks to the post to accompany the photo. With this post, it is self-evident.

Painful but necessary lesson was learned today. It hurt so bad !

There is often a very thin line between being assertive and being controlling. Often the ‘need’ to be in control of our life takes us over that line and we stomp on other people’s needs and rights. While we like to think we have control in our life, the actual control we have is pretty minimal.

I can control when I get up in the morning. I can even control what I have for my meals that day but, unless I completely isolate myself from the world, I don’t really have control of what will happen during the day.

@iamnotageek writes about his discovery that he’d been trying too hard to control what goes on around him and in the process lost control. It’s a tough lesson to learn and to grow through.

Wrap-up on Day 105

Well, it is time to wrap this Ramble up for today. I need to drop over to the Legion for wing night and then I have another project I want to work on when I get back.

Found some posts I really enjoyed today. I’m also finding a lot of posts that Cheetah has found. Really disappointing to read through a well written post only to find that the author has lifted it from somewhere else. If Cheetah has found you, I wont even consider you.
