My Journey/frustration with ALTcoin my FOMO got me here....

I just wanted to share a short story about my frustration and struggle with ALTcoin or you can say Cryptocurrency in general, i am not upset that i got myself into to crypto i believe its the future and some projects are seriously interesting and i can see them being part of our future.
my frustration is first i missed out on a great opportunity July 2017 when one of my friend called me from north carolina and told me about this new crypto currency thats on rise name LITE coin and Ethereum .

i did not paid any attention to what he was telling me i was like come on dude this is a waste of time focus on setting up a business or something that i can invest in with you .
he didnt really brought enough info on this stuff and i was too focus at work to even give crypto currency a second of my life what a mistake that was , 6 months later when the cryptocurrency market exploded i looked at LITE coin and Ethereum prices and i wanted to shot myself.
so with the fear the of missing out aka FOMO i bought Ripple as my first crypto currency at $.90.
then i bought NewYork Coin at a very low price.

the same friend who mention LITE coin and ETH visited me and we start talking about crypto currency and how him and his brother made around $50,000 with ripple.
Now that Spark my interest in Crypto currency my luck or you can say bad luck that my interest sparked when the market was on it highest point i am sure alot of people got into cryptocurrency around that time..
my friend introduced me to this uprising coin called TRON and XVG when they were around 5 cents and without doing any research i bought bunch of TRON, Verge,steller and more ripple.

and at that point i really got into cryptocurrency what inspired me even more was one of my employee put in his 2 weeks notice because he made over $200,000 with crypto currency and he wants to be a day time trader that why he is leaving his job.
come January i start buying more crypto currency and got obsessed with my portfolio which i created on block folio i cant stop looking at it all day all night thats all i was looking at.
Now that was the time i start watching youtube videos and all i was talking about with my friends and family was just cryptocurrency got alot of people into crypto speacially ALTCIONS.
i start following the currency start reading about the concept behinds the crypto currency and what is possible what not
around mid January i got into over 15 coins invested small investments in bunch of different currency and then this happened...
Everything start falling apart from point on crypto got hit with chinese New years celebration first

then alot of FUD around crypto regulations alot of countries start banning crypto currencies such as China, India, middle eastern countries and more ...
Instead of just hodling my currencies i start flipping out and sold most of my ALTCOINS and the day i sold all market start stabling the same night FOMO kicked in and i went back and bought same ALTcoins again lmao.
Now i am even more obsessed with cryptocurrency, i remember this word to word when my Assistant walk upto me and asked me i use to gamble back in the days and my answer was yes he was like you are back to doing Gambling again but now instead of casino's i am doing that with cryptocurrency.
Now in reality that was so true it was like a addiction i couldn't stop buying and looking at my portfolio.
comes Feb i bought even more thinking that once the chinese New years is done ill be up and good to do which did not happened crypto currency kept moving down wards...
i kept buying more and more at this point again without doing indepth search about the coins i start listening to youtubers again another mistake more that they were entirely wrong but the market had other plans.
Then i came accross a pump and dump group on Discord and i start following them i didn't participate in any PUMPANDDUMPs i just kept up with that they were doing and that was the most disheartening thing i came across the reason why it was dishearted is that this munipilation of coins seems to be another reason with Newbies like me were FOMOING in to coins most of the time.
i looked at the coinmarketcap.com and go buy the coins thats doing great even with thorough search it seems like the ALTcoins could make me serious money.
Now Around the same time my wife found out thru my bank statement how much money i invested in crypto she asked me to show her my portfolio without thinking anything i opened it infront of her which made her lost her mind she got upset with me knowing how much money i have lost in ALTCOINS crypto currency.
i explained to her that i am investing in our future this is the future convinced her with my sales skills that this is temporary i will be up very soon cryptocurrency with boom its the future and ill be making loads of money from it.
who was i fooling in reality i was seeing crypto currency going down every minute every hour and everyday.
now in all that craziness one great thing that came out was steemit.com..
#steemit really open my eyes and brain to a new wave of investment and platform. i did more research on it and found out that this is a platform that pays you for creativeness your thoughts your every day activity and alot more.
i promised my wife that i will calm down on investing more money in crypto and work more on steemit to create a different way of earning .
right now i am at 50% lost of my investment in crypto probably more then 50% but i am not worrying about it anymore i am just HODLING on to what i have and watching the market every day every hour and every minute while also focusing on work and my family .
the reason i am writing this post is 1 i want to look back at this post which wont let me forget where i started and where i cam from . 2nd i want to share my thoughts and frustration with my fellow steemians .
right now i am happy where i am and investing money in coins smartly i read about the coins before i invest i try to read charts before i invest and the most important reason why i am writing this post is because i love steemit and i think its the best platform i ever came across that helps people with no investment.
Its March 14th of 2018 and i want to remember this date because i believe in crypto and i believe it will go long way.
my suggesting to all the crypto currency enthusiasts and people who are thinking about going into crypto is just be patient dont have weak hands ..
dont be greedy stop this #pumpanddump sh*t i am getting tired of this .

i am tired of strategic FUD
lets make this future brighter this is what out kids and their kids going to be utilizing alot of crypto currency have great use dont let this die down please.
