🗞 Bitcoin Gets a Mention on Rapper Eminem’s New Album ‘Kamikaze’

Bitcoin (BTC) got a new mainstream mention from U.S. rapper Ryan Daniel Montgomery, better known as Royce Da 5'9,' in a track featured on Eminem’s new album "Kamikaze," Forbes reports August 31.

Rappers Eminem and Royce Da 5’9’ have collaborated several times throughout their careers, having recorded a combined 66 songs that have made it into the Billboard Hot 100 record chart.

🗞 Firefox to Block Cryptojacking Malware in New Browser Releases

Firefox will block cryptojacking malware in future versions of its web browser, according to an announcement August 30.

The move comes as part of an anti-tracking initiative expected to be implemented over the next few months. In the announcement, Firefox cites a study by browser extension Ghostery, stating that 55.4 percent of the total time required to load an average website is spent loading third party trackers.

Japanese mega e-commerce and internet company Rakuten Inc. is entering the crypto space. Instead of submitting a new application to the country’s financial regulator, Rakuten is acquiring an existing crypto exchange to fast-track into the Japanese crypto market.

Bitcoin may be hard to use even with consumer-friendly tools, while running its core infrastructure is even harder. However, this isn't stopping efforts to change that.

The global, volunteer developer group behind the most popular implementation of the software, Bitcoin Core, is soon to debut its 17th major software release, one which puts to code a number of highly-anticipated changes. Of particular emphasis is improving the software's default wallet, where user's bitcoin private keys are stored.

🗞 Australia Announces Plans to Develop a National Blockchain Platform

Australia’s journey to becoming a blockchain hub has continued to gather pace. In its latest venture, tech giant IBM and Australian law firm Herbert Smith Freehills have joined forces to form a blockchain consortium with the Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organization (CSIRO). The initiative intends to create the first countrywide blockchain, known as the Australian National Blockchain (ANB). The new platform will serve as an infrastructure platform for the Aussie digital economy, where businesses will be able to develop smart contracts as well as confirm the status and arrangement of legal proceedings in an efficient and transparent manner.

The support line in red helped us to hold the drop and even created a bounce with the help of the BTC. We took some distances from that support line and we are going in the direction of the resistance line in orange. This orange resistance line is blocking us since some weeks now and is corresponding to the symbolic level of 1$. If we are able to break it, it would show us that we perhaps reached a low on the STEEM... More info on the next update ;-)
