🗞 Fundstrat’s Tom Lee: ‘Correlation’ Between BTC and Emerging Markets Is Sign of Upcoming Trend Reversal

Fundstrat’s Bitcoin (BTC) analyst Tom Lee has claimed that the cryptocurrency “could end the year explosively higher,” citing a correlation between it and emerging markets. Lee has made his new prediction in an interview during CNBC's "Trading Nation” show August 25.

🗞 SEC to review decision rejecting bitcoin ETFs

• Following the SEC’s recent rejection of 9 ETF applications, as noted in yesterday’s Daily, the regulatory body has announced that it will review these decisions.

• The SEC has rejected a total of nine application to list and trade various Bitcoin ETFs from three different applicants (ProShares, Direxion and GraniteShares), on the basis of perceived inadequate “resistance [framework] to price manipulation”, in an insufficiently sized Bitcoin derivatives market.

🗞 Upside Calling? Bearish Bets on Bitcoin Futures Hit Record Low

The bearish sentiment in the bitcoin (BTC) futures market hit a record low last week, indicating that the worst of the leading cryptocurrency's price plunge just might be in the past.

The non-commercial futures contracts of bitcoin, traded by large speculators and hedge funds, totaled a net position of -1266 contracts in the week ended Aug. 21 – the lowest on record, according to the data released by the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) on Friday.

STEEM Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

The STEEM just got a nice Pump and Dump on Upbit and Bithumb, some korean exchanges. The price that you see on that chart is the average price of all the exchanges so it doesn't look so important but I looked it in live on Bithumb and STEEM was around 4$ at one moment. Everything is dropping now so yeah I suppose it was a simple pump and dump done by our korean friends. Let's see in the coming hours if we don't have any important moves on the others exchanges.
