🗞 Bitmain's New Miner Is Drawing Criticism from Early Users

Mining hardware giant Bitmain has been criticized over one of its latest mining products, the AntMiner B3, with Chinese users making allegations about its marketing tactics and quality control.

According to a blog post from the AntMiner's official WeChat account, the new product – dedicated to mining BTM, the native token of the Bytom blockchain – was launched on April 25, one day after the Bytom team launched its mainnet.

Priced at 17,000 Chinese yuan (or $2,600) per unit, the first batch of 25,000 B3 miners was notably sold out in seconds after commencement of the sale.

🗞 Visa Card Payments Failing in UK, Europe, Highlighting Need for Decentralized Options

Visa has said that their card payments are experiencing disruptions across Britain and Europe, the BBC reports today, June 1.

Visa, which handles over 150 mln transactions a day, tweeted about the service disruption, noting that they will keep updating as they resolve the situation:

🗞 New York Legislature Proposes Establishment Of Digital Currency Taskforce

The legislature in New York is currently considering a bill that would establish a taskforce to study cryptocurrency. On Wednesday, the banking committee voted to advance the bill to the ways and means committee. All members present voted in favor of the bill.

If passed, the bill would create a nine-member group that would be required to submit a report to the governor and both houses of the legislature by December of 2019. Specifically, the taskforce would study the effect of cryptocurrency on the state's tax revenue, the transparency and possible illegal activities of currency marketplaces, and the energy consumption of cryptocurrency mining operations.

🗞 Huobi Expected to Enter Brazilian Cryptocurrency Market

The third largest cryptocurrency exchange by volume, Huobi, appears poised to enter the Brazilian market – with local reports indicating that the company has established an office in São Paulo, in addition to seeking to hire local talent. The interest in Brazil’s market comes at a time of peak interest in cryptocurrency among Brazilian citizens, according to reports.

We have currently a nice ascending triangle in formation on the STEEM. Unfortunately, this is an ascending triangle which gives in most of the cases a Break Out DOWN... Let's see the result of that triangle. No one can be sure of the direction that the Break Out will take but be really prepared for a drop which will go touch at least the support line in red around 2$.
