🗞 South Africa’s Central Bank Calls Crypto ‘Cyber-Tokens’, Not Currency

Francois Groepe, Reserve Bank Deputy Governor, explained the position of the bank:

"We don’t use the term “cryptocurrency” because it doesn’t meet the requirements of money in the economic sense of the stable means of exchange, a unit of measure and a stable unit of value. We prefer to use the word ‘cyber-token’.”

“We want to ensure or establish whether there is still compliance with the relevant financial surveillance or exchange-control regulations.”

What Is Facebook Going to Do with Blockchain Tech?

Facebook’s silence around blockchain was deafening. Louder still were the voices of speculation over its lack of comment. If one of the largest tech companies in the world wasn’t jumping on the blockchain train, perhaps the whole thing was smoke and mirrors after all. Then Bitcoin nose-dived, Facebook banned cryptocurrency ads, and blockchain skeptics had a field day. Until earlier this month, that is.

"There are multiple aspects [which] blockchain can help with, the biggest being identity. Facebook has always had an intention of being “you on the Internet.” It’s done an oddly good job at it. Websites all over the internet accept the Facebook login as an automatic “you”, allowing you to quickly and simply create an account. I say “oddly good” because even entities that don’t create an account for you use Facebook to verify your identity".

🗞 The Record-Breaking $152 Million Battle Over Blockchain Betting Tool Augur

Three years ago, Augur, a prediction market system that runs on the ethereum blockchain, held one of the first initial coin offerings (ICOs), long before the funding mechanism gained mainstream momentum.

Between August 7 and September 5, 2015, the project issued 8.8 million reputation (REP) tokens from a maximum circulating supply of 11 million tokens, each priced below $0.60, to raise over $5 million for the project.

🗞 Tezos Community Petitions to End the Class Action Lawsuits

Tezos was conceived as a governance-based blockchain to rival Ethereum, but it’s become more synonymous with protracted legal battles and internecine conflict. As the latest class action lawsuit drags its way through the courts, the Tezos community has petitioned for an end to all the legal turmoil so that everyone can move on.

🗞 Zimbabwe High Court Reverses Central Bank’s Cryptocurrency Ban

Just recently news.Bitcoin.com reported on the Zimbabwe-based exchange Golix filing a lawsuit over the recent Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe (RBZ) ‘cryptocurrency ban’ that was issued in a financial guidance circular earlier this month. Now, according to numerous regional reports, the Zimbabwe High Court has ruled in favor of the trading platform’s argument because the RBZ failed to show up to the trial.

BTC Trading Update by my friend @cryptopassion

Here is the chart of yesterday :

Here is the current chart :

I really love the use of support and resistance lines in trading. Even lot of people are saying than all these lines are just nothing and that technical analysts are not oracle are so wrong. For sure all these technics don't provide you the direction of the next move at 100%. However, it is helping you very much in your decisions or at least help you to increase your probabilities to be in gain.

Here we can see clearly that we broke the support line and that the market is staying around it, hesitating to create new lows under that line. A real bounce from the current point is really a possibility if we are not able to go lower during the coming hours.
