Digital Currency Past Present Future - Fractals of Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin & Ripple

in #cryptocurrency6 years ago

I've been doing technical analysis and stock trading for more than 15 years and I've been fascinated by the application of fractals in the cryptocurrency field.

A fractal is a curve or geometric figure, each part of which has the same statistical character as the whole. Fractals are useful in modeling structures (such as eroded coastlines or snowflakes) in which similar patterns recur at progressively smaller scales, and in describing partly random or chaotic phenomena such as crystal growth, fluid turbulence, and galaxy formation.

A good example to appreciate fractals is the Romanesco Broccoli. The smallest "fractal" of this plant is exactly the same as the whole or any of its "parts".

NOW, I've been looking at the price graphs of the major coins and here's what I found:

Bitcoin:

The fractals below offers hope for bitcoin which suggest that the recent correction has reached its bottom at $6,000 and bitcoin is beginning its ascent to its new ATH after another dip to $6,000:

Litecoin:

Litecoin has a longer bearish sentiment according to the fractals below. This is not a big surprise since litecoin took almost a year in 2017 before quadrupling its price to $300. A good move then is to move your litecoins to other cryptos and then buy litecoins again in the later part of the year to maximize profits.

Ethereum:

Similarly, Ethereum seems to have a long bearish march for 2018. Even worst that litecoin, Ether did not climb to its ATH of $1,300+ until January 2018. A late bloomer indeed. Let's see if the planned enhancements in March/April can break this fractal prediction for Ether.

Ripple:

My least favorite coin due to its centralized nature aka the wolf among the sheep shows a bullish fractal pattern. See Why I don't TRUST RIPPLE and Why You SHOULDN'T Too for more information about this coin.

Fractals are a fantastic way to analyse the markets - do you use specific software to find fractals? Do you examine fractals over the different time frames?

thanks @nzfxtrader for the feedback. I normally look for fractals over a 3 year period. I haven't found a software that can identify fractals and would be happy to know if you are aware of any.
