Bitcoin Hard Fork Segwit2X Is Set To Happen Tomorrow December 28, 2017
Segwit2X team has announced last week that they are planning to move forward with the proposed hard fork on the coming weeks.
Now, the head developer of the hard fork, Jaap Terlouw has officially confirmed in their website that the fork will be executed on December 28, 2017, and that will be tomorrow.
Segwit2x will increase block size to 4MB and will reduce the block times to 2.5 minutes.
Terlouw also said that all bitcoin holders will receive B2X as in 1 to 1 ratio and an additonal amount proportional to Satoshi BTC Nakamoto's holdings as a reward for their commitment to progress.
TenX Co-founder Predicts Bitcoin Will Have More Shocking Highs And Lows This Coming 2018
In a CNBC interview, Dr. Julian Hosp of TenX gave a prediction that Bitcoin will have even higher peaks and lower dips next year.
He believes that Bitcoin price will hit the $60,000 mark and might also hit the $5,000 mark, just not sure if which one's going to be hit first.
He also said that the recent dip in Bitcoin price was a welcome dip and was very healthy for the market where some investors are given the chance to buy a little bit more with the around 45% discount to its all-time price.
