China Has Most Blockchain-Related Patents Filed For The Past Two Years

In the past two years, China has overtaken the likes of the USA and Australia in Bitcoin-ralated patents.

This is according to Thomson Reuters and the World Intellectual Patent Organization.

It said that China has about 400 patents while the US and Australia has only 110 and 40 respectively, making it the largest Blockchain patents holder in the world.

Despite the hard stance of the government against cryptocurrency trading and investments it is positive towards Blockchain technology as it funds $1.6 bln Blockchain initiatives.

More and more Chinese companies are utilizing Blockchain technology to process data in real-time and in a decentralized manner.

It believes that Blockchain can revolutionize and disrupt a wide range of industries.

Insured Cold Storage For Cryptocurrencies

Noble Alternative Investment’s (NAI) CEO Charles Thorngren believes that they have found the solution to one of the barriers stopping institutional investors from investing in cryptocurrencies, Secure and Insured Storage.

In response to this demand Noble Bitcoin, a subsidiary of NAI will launch a full custodian service using their high tech, ultra-secure IDS-Texas depository facility.

It will be accepting Bitcoin, Ethereum, Litecoin and Ripple.

All digital assets that are deposited in this facility will benefit insurance should a security compromise occur. Currently precious metals such are silver, gold and platinum are also kept safe in the location.

Noble Coin is yet to release when this service will be available.

Paxful Helping This African Nation Fight Bitcoin Scam

Peer-to-Peer cryptocurrency exchange, Paxful is helping Nigerians avoid bitcoin scams by offering them escrow service that facilitates transactions when buying and selling cryptos.

According to Elliot Hoffman, VP of Business Development in Paxful, his company is committed in ensuring Nigerians will not fall prey to prevalent bitcoin scams by providing them the facility to make secure and safe transactions.

Crypto Hedge Fund Manager: Bear Market “Largely Over”

The managing director of Crypto Asset Management (CAM) Timothy Enneking declares bear market is largely over.

CAM was founded last year which has seen its $20 million digital assets decline by as much 69%.

There are 4 reasons why the market collapsed - Asset consolidation, hostile regulatory concerns, Mt. Gox’s trustee liquidation and selling of digital assets for expenditures, he explained.

These factors he said have already been priced into the cryptocurrency markets which are still up 600% in the last 15 months despite its collapse earlier this year.

He expects markets to rebound anytime soon.
