It is good. This is good at this stage of development. There is almost no competition between cryptocurrencies. All these systems are tied to Bitcoin. That is, the "yellow" cryptocurrency is not a competitor to the "blue"one. At this stage it is very good. Because all projects can be developed. Most of these projects will die due to design errors, due to lack of consumers, due to unlucky marketing and etc. Many of these projects will die due to scam.

After that, the experience will be lost. This experience will be taken by those who remain alive. I'm sure STEEM will live. Steem will be part of the TOP-10 world cryptocurrencies.

I occasionally read the announcements of ICO. Often there you can find just a "miracle". People are collecting money for mythical projects. And other people invest in it. In fact, it's sad. This can create a bad glory for our industry. With such "original" projects, people are losing investment and trust. And worse when it's a scam.

I'm talking about the fact that not every cryptocurrency is a good project. Our choice should be very careful. For me, it is Steem and a bit Bitcoin, as a foundation.
