🚀 What cryptos do YOU own? – September, 25th 🚀

in #crypto9 years ago

Every week, I decided to update the different cryptocurrencies I own and would like to ask you which one do you believe in the most in your respective wallet.

This is the 4th weekly: "What cryptos do You own?"

  • As I work in finance, Stock Markets polls are very useful for fund managers to understand what investors own because they currently like it and what they do not.
  • Usually, in the Stock Market, it is not very good to own a stock that everybody owns; it means that most investors bought it already and therefore, future demand will be low.
  • Whereas understanding which one are under owned is very useful in case a positive news is released on the stock. Since a few investors own it, they will rush to buy some and the price will increase significantly.

My current portfolio and reasons why I own these cryptos:

  • Ripple (XRP): Signed most of the TOP50 banks and is runned very profesionnaly. It is working with Chinese partners on many projects. The lock-up of the rest of the supply should be in October-November 2017 and I would expect this news could be a positive catalyst. I increased my holdings today.

  • Eosio (EOS): I believe in Dan Larimer; he already developped 2 great projects (Steem and Bitshare) and as the Co-founder of Steemit on @SGTReport said about Dan larimer and its EOS ICO: “The people who say that there is no product yet, Dan has built 2 of them if they think he’s not gonna build the 3rd one, they’re crazy. This is the one he always wanted. The other 2 were just helping him get there”. The London Blockchain conference took place; EOS was presenting but it did not impact postitively the price as I expected…

  • Ethereum (ETH): In my opinion, it has been the most exciting project in cryptos so far. This project has been copied or inspire many other hot cryptos (NEO, EOS...) and the, Hardfork combined with the Plasma update could give it a boost. It is performing very well but I just own a little bit. The end of the ICO era is good for the CryptoMarket but bad in the short term for Ethereum.

  • Steem: If you read this, you know why.

  • Stratis (STRAT): Stratis offers full service capabilities for the development, deployment and management of blockchain applications and solutions utilizing C#. Stratis tries to make it easier for companies, organisations or other entities to develop a blockchain app.

  • Mysterium (MYST): * The company is developing a Blockchain VPN. As China is trying to implement its Great Internet Wall before 2018, this would block VPN based technology. This project could offer a solution to Chinese and even other people to have more privacy while browsing through the internet.

Other Cryptocurrencies that I used to own but sold because I feared a Market Drop

  • Augur (REP): I just like the prediction market project. They have almost completed the Solidity language migration (from Serpent language) that delayed the project in the recent months.

  • Ethereum Classic (ETC): I think it is undervalued, dapps and other projects are using it as the Ethereum network is getting crowded.

And you, What do YOU own?

Please remember this is my personal opinion and not a financial/investment advice. You need to do your own research to make your own decision. Investing in cryptocurrencies can lead to financial losses.

Thanks for sharing your investment strategie with us. I personally almost agree with all of your holdings. I'm just wondering why don't you own any of the untraceable coins like zcash, monero or pivx?

I like Zcoin as well. It is still inexpensive compared to the other privacy coins. Following.

You are welcome @masterthematrix, I used to own Monero but sold them when it pumped.
I like these untraceable coins but as there are many different one, we cannot really guess which one will become the most used.
The other coins I used are either the most advanced in their field (Ripple in Transfer payments) or have specific applications (MYST, STRAT). EOS and Ethereum are exactly what Cyrptos should be and could become the equivalent of the new "Internet" in my opinion.

Ok thats a good point. What do you think of IOTA? It has no transaction fees, is highly scaleable and could be the protocol for the internet of things?

Yes, I didn't look at iota enough but I clearly think about buying some.

I haven't changed my positions since last week, just hoping for an entrance to Monero at some point.

I like Monero as well. Started looking into it and then it jumped so I only nibled at the high prices. Following.

I do too and I should have done the same instead of Shorting some cryptos. I had to close some short as I was losing too much. Thank you for commenting guys !

Yea, Cryptos move soooo fast. Easy to get caught on the wrong side. I'm sloooow so I accumulate with small purchases on the way down during an overall market correction as I'm generally a HODL'r. We all have our own style and strengths.

Good luck!

Yeah, my main problem is timing my buys I think. I tend to buy when I've got the cash to do it instead of waiting the months until when the opportunity presents itself. I'm always full of FOMO in that respect.

Interesting take on ETC. Sold MYST to have $ for last weeks downturn. Will get back in at some point. I have all the rest. STRAT has not come back with the rest so I added to it as others were moving up. Thanks for sharing. Will try to show a few of mine later when I have more time.

An interesting post but I am a crypto newbie f=so for the moment all I have is Steem

I wish I was more limited such as you. I need to sell off some of my cryptos because right now I have around 20 cryptos and would like to get that to around 8 like yourself. My portfolio would look close to the same as yours, but I would have some Dash, Litecoin, and Quantum instead of Augur, Stratis, Mysterium.

Very good article. I was about to post a similair thread. You read this stories about people selling their cars to buy cryptos and I think to myself: Don't invest money you don't have. We really need more insights in the market and previous investment results. Besides coinmarketcap.com there is: https://www.coincheckup.com Amazing opportunities came to light when I started using this coins to analyze cryptos.
