What is rSteem?

rSteem is a currency designed to further integrate the value of the Steemit ecosystem with that of WAVES blockchain via the Waves DEX platform. In doing so, the currency offers an additional means of moving value in and out between the two platforms.

What makes rSteem unique is that both the demand and the supply for the token will be generated by the voting activity conducted within the Steemit platform. The currency is intended to be freely issued to upvoting participants in posted bounties, divided proportionally according to their upvote's rshares. In conjunction with this currency issuance, the final reward values of bounty posts or other community-based contests will be pooled in order to generate dedicated purchases of available rSteem currently being sold on the open market.

The repurchase of rSteem via use of the community reward pool will always be conducted at the lowest asking price. The reoccurring date of the buybacks will be detailed by the participating host.
