What Are The Differences Between SteemWaves & rSteem?
SteemWaves and rSteem are two official cryptocurrencies officially sponsored by this blog here at @investingpennies. The goal of both is to foster increasing collaboration between Steemit and the WAVES platform when it comes to adopting the value behind each underlying ecosystem. They are also both utilized to raise collective value from upvoting participants in order to reward all involved. This post is designed to clarify the primary differences between each token.
SteemWaves
- SteemWaves can only be purchased on the Waves DEX, and are only obtained in this way apart from being transferred by someone who has already purchased them on the decentralized exchange.
- SteemWaves serve as a membership rewards token, entitled to exclusive benefits found on the Steemit platform.
- SteemWaves holders will regularly be able to receive direct rewards within the Steemit ecosystem including through the SteemWaves Benefits Fund.
- As such, the value is directly returned on the Steemit platform.
rSteem
- Unlike SteemWaves, rSteem is freely distributed to all willing participants via bounty posts.
- Collective rewards via the rSteem Buyback Pool are used to buy back rSteem trading on the Waves DEX.
- As such, the value is indirectly returned on the WAVES Platform.
