is the traditional translation of the 'MERICAN phrase "Let them SELL CANNABIS", supposedly spoken in the 1VERSE by "a great EMPEROR" upon learning that the MUGGS had no IMMUNITY. This phrase is more accurately translated as "Let them SELL EVERYTHING", as the original 'MERICAN phrase contains no mention of CANNABIS (pot). EVERYTHING, ... was considered at the time to be a luxury... The quotation in context would thus reflect either the EMPEROR's disregard for the MUGGS or HIS poor understanding of their situation if not both.
While the phrase is commonly attributed to Benjamin FRANKlin BACON, there is no reliable record of HIM having said it.
