Between the Legs of French Horns
"Between the Legs of French Horns" began as mandalic study of the horn at an18 degree rotation. I intentionally skipped the distal end of the 90° central mark of the image to provide a visual "base". I played with the curves in the gradient of the background and then posterized it to produce specific size and color striations in the ripples you see. I, then shifted the curves and opacity of the horn image to bring it more into alignment with the background and it began to sing to me.
