The fish that didn't like it's school.
There was a fish in the wide open ocean. A fish among many other fishes. There were fishes of all kinds in the ocean, fishes of all different schools. There were big fishes and small, uncolored and multi. Fishes of all sorts, sorted to their own schools.
The ocean had been their home for the longest time, and fishes were evolving. Fishes grew smart and big, some went far and across. Eventually fishes civilised and some even went to be part of other schools. But no matter to which school the fishes went, they were always attached to their own school.
The fish cycle was vicious. Just as much as they evolved and they civilised, they also grew competetive and judgmental. It would be a lie to say they didn't grow selfish with time. Every fish wanted to be the best in their own way. Every fish wanted their own school to be the best.
There was a red and green fish. He was involuntarily put in to the viscous cycle of fish. He didn't ask for it, but he had to agree to be part of it. He was a red and green fish, but for all he knows his family and more have been in the red, black, white and green school for a long, long time. It wasn't hard to know about fish and schools, everybody knew it from birth and it was very apparent.
The red, black, white and green school was very popular and diverse. There were fishes from all schools of the ocean. Everybody rejoiced and lived happily, each playing their part in the fish cycle. However, no one ever forgot their own schools, everyone was proud of their school and always made sure that they represented their school and helped their own fish like kins.
The red and green fish grew up in this competitive foreign school and along the way picked up many skills. It became a very high functioning member of the red, black, white and green school but always tended to his own red and green school members. It always knew in the back of it's head that belonging meant more than anything. It noticed how all the other fishes and schools stuck to each other and did most for each other while being in a foreign school - and naturally expected the same from it's own red and green school and it's members.
However, the red and green school was a bit too sinister than expected. The fish cycle and all it's principles were applied...but the members of the school weren't near to as what the red and green fish expected. All were just as viscous and selfish as the myth of the cycle of fish stated. Each fish carried a bullet with the name of other red and green fish written on it with a glitter pen. It was diabolical.
All of them swam around, wherever in the ocean, singing praises of the red and green school. All of them made excellent members of the ocean and treated each school and their members with humility and respect. But that behavior never reflected with their own kind. The red and green fish had nothing but jealousy, hate and detest for their own kind.
It didn't take long for the red and green fish to realise that. It made sure to never loose it's respect for it's own red and green school. However, it never moved a fin without being extra cautious around it's own kind. This bothered it a lot. It loved it's school but couldn't ever come to terms with the members...
The ocean was beautiful and lived on in a beautiful harmony. There were the good fish and the bad fish. There were the good waves and the bad waves. There were the educated and the illiterate. All played their parts. The red and green fish never did anything wrong, but it never went to it's own school either.

Very interesting post. I also tend to stay on my own and ignore the big fish on the pond.
Lets hope the cats don't learn how to swim or else all the fish are screwed! 😁
Good thing in this universe there is nothing but ocean and fish
