TakeOne Challenge is a music contest for every music artist who wants to have some fun and challenge themselves creatively while they are at it. Together we will, hopefully, become a new community of musicians whose only goal is to grow both collectively and individually as artists.

Do you know which musicians were born in December?
Turns out several artists, in almost every music genre, were born in the last month of the year. Pretty cool, huh? From Britney Spears, Corey Taylor (Slipknot & Stone Sour), to Taylor Swift, Jim Morrison (The Doors) and Tyler Joseph (Twenty One Pilots), Tre Cool (Green Day), Hayley Williams (Paramore). You get the picture, the list goes on and on.

In @takeone we want you to pay tribute to the artist you like the most, whose birthday is just around the corner. You can check one of the lists here.

Choose one of their songs and upload a video of up to a minute long performing it. You can play the chorus, just a riff or the introduction; you can sing it with a backing track or play it yourself in your instrument of choice. The main idea is that you share with us, in a short video, what's on your mind.

Oh, and it has to be done in one take.

How to participate in TakeOne Challenge?

• Resteem this post to help us reach more people and make this project self-sustaining.

• Start your video with an image that says: TakeOne Challenge [#Edition Number] and your username in Steemit. It can be done digitally or manually.

Here's an example:

• Upload your entry to the contest on a platform such as Youtube or Vimeo.

• The title of your post should begin with TakeOne Challenge [#Edition Number]. Then add whatever you want.

• Use these tags in this order: #contest #takeone #music. We have to find your post to check you out!

• Only one entry per user will be allowed.

• Entries with any post-production filters will not be accepted; you have to do it in one take! The quality of the camera will not be taken into account, neither will your song choice, but we will appreciate it if you choose a quiet and illuminated place to record your submission.

Post your entry in the comments of this post and our Dicord channel (#entries-entradas) just to be extra sure we see you.

Challenges will be published on Thursdays between 00:00 and 15:00 UTC-3

Entries will be accepted until next Tuesday at 23:59 UTC-3
