๐PLEASE DO NOT PUT ON A CONTEST IF YOU HAVE NO INTENTION OF PAYING OUT ! Now I have seen alot of things , good and bad happen on steemit in my 9 months since ive been here ! And since the rewards plumetted on steemit , and i love all kinds of contests , I have been entering alot of them , i even did a post about it promoteing all the 6 different contests I was in , As my followers all know !

๐ Now i promoted this contest many times on steemchat post promotion , as well as in my post i did to promote the 6 contests with links to all of them , so i was surprised to find out when the deadline came up on Friday , that I was the only entry he recieved ! So like anyone else would , I thought , WOW HOW COOL IS THAT ITS THE BIGEST PRIZE I EVER WON ON STEEMIT !! YIPPEE ! NOT !! As you read in the above link provided on his winners announcement ! I couldnt believe (as he says ) " he decided to keep the 100 steem for himself ,

Once again please read both links i provided where in the original contest details he never did say " im the judge and there may not be any winners " He obviousely added that in afterwards !

Lol you have to be kidding right !? ! I wonder how much he would have liked it if the 100 steem that he had just won from the VOTU contest , he was told by @sirlunchthehost " I am the judge and have decided to keep the prize for myself SUCKER ! i just wanted to waste your time !" You also wouldnt like it if it was you . All he had to do was say " sorry but you were the only entrant in my contest , but i will give you a concilation prize for your promoteing of my contest and taking the time to enter " and that would have been awesome ! The proper adult way of doing things dont you think !
This was totally miss managed and poorly planned , im hopeing by posting this that other steemians putting on a contest should take into consideration thats all ! Thanks for replying !๐
So the fact then that he said " I will subjectively " and "if" , means you really need read between the lines and understand that he never intended to pay out anything in the first place then!! It was all just a way for him to advertise more , and make a post to get upvotes , it was all just a joke !๐
I honestly wanted a winner. Personally I am a fan of OC. Your entry was really good, but the picture was not yours. Sorry. I do not feel comfortabl rewarding someone for someone elses work. I understand that you modified the content. And I am grateful you entered. I had every intention of paying out.

We (@steemstem) ALWAYS payout exactly as we promised for our contests. I would never think of keeping any funds that were set aside to give to others for any of us involved. Integrity is important, especially in this day and age!

Sorry that happened to you, but I entered a bunch of the meme contests and was very saddened by how people with higher reputation numbers won despite shitty content. I even took to Facebook to ask randomly which of these memes is funniest...mine were in most of them. So I stopped doing them. With all due respect, you judged one of them...no mention, no nothing. There should be a winner in your case, but buyer beware...the poster told you there may not be a winner. I actually liked your meme though...you would at least have gotten a mention, and if the only...a no questions asked WINNER.
No actually if you go to the original contest details it does not say there may not be winner he added that in after to try and cover what he did !also the one time i judged the meme contest i did a seperate post detailing exactly what i specifically was going to be looking for as a judge on top of the normal criteria ! I didnt care who got the most upvotes who had a higher rep. As some people have like a thousand followers or bots that will upvote for them! The person that coved the most of what i was looking for is who i picked , and its up to the contestants to read all the details required , which I always do and did for this contest ! Look all he had to is say " sorry , you were the only entry so heres a conciation prize for your efforts ! " Thats all i asked ! You should go to the link i provided , of his contest winners post and read the comments section ! Thanks but you know i have also entered the meme contest 3 times every time its been on and only one time did i win twice on the same one ! I never won any other times eigther ! ๐
