Week 21 - Win a Membership in Steem Basic Income - Tell us About a Favorite Freewrite - 8/28/2018
This week, we are publishing the recommend your favorite Freewrite poem at the same time as this post. Please participate in both contests.
A Favorite Freewrite
Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.
Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.
We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!
The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪
See the rules below for details.
In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.
To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.
Win, Win, Win!!!

This was a simple, easy read by @whatisnew. I liked it, because it made me laugh out loud, literally. And we all need a good laugh ever so often. Check out the freewrite for the prompt charge
The other FreeWrite I liked is Food For Thought (pun intended) for the prompt desert by @mariannewest. I didn't know there was a term "Food Desert" but I know the conundrum. The struggle is real.

Thanks for the nomination @kaerpediem! : )
It was a pleasure
To read and then to nominate 😊

I just found this #freewrite from @deadmoonwrites on the prompt desert. I think it was fiction at first, but after I read it again, I think it could be real life. We definitely know that casino owners like to keep an eye on their operations. And we definitely know that mobsters built Las Vegas. "What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas!" 💸

It is so much fun for me when I read a freewrite that takes an unexpected turn. @joe.nobel writes about a couple who are watching the sunset and reflecting on their hard day of work. Why were they celebrating with drinks on this particular day? Go read the story to find a surprise ending.

I moistened my eyes ... it touched my heart ... it touched a sensitive fiber, a weak point ... I thought it was excellent. So I describe the post that I recommend in this link: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@corderito/spanish-freewrite-no-96-message-daily-of-5-minutes-load-f92cc60527d43est
Although it is quite short, it is loaded with feelings ... I challenge you to read it imagining every movement of your character and you will see what I mean. This work of @corderito is very good. He is one of our resources written in the Spanish Freewrite project. I hope you like his contribution.

I tell myself each week to:
So here are three picks from the prompt for "Election" and one might be fiction. At least I did not break one of my rules (sigh).
@iamjadeline talks about the recent election here in Malaysia. I was not here yet, and I am sorry I missed it. The details she gives show you how very important this election was to the country and how very different elections are here than in the us. Even I, with my limited interest and understanding of current events know this election was a "big" one. I'm so happy to read this post to better comprehend the event people here still remark upon today.

Note: I am not related to, or paid by @wonderwop to keep recommending his posts! He just keeps making me laugh or touching my heart and this is not my fault. I also always like his media. This one is a funny one and very short again. I hope one day I will learn how to be brief and still have impact, but maybe this is only a dream.

@felt.buzz gives us a picture of the dystopian future that might already be here. I am not sure if this freewrite is fiction or not! It is very well written and chilling though :)

Thank you @fitinfun for dropping by and nominating my #freewrites. I try to make them funny but not all the time. 💕 Checks in the mail!

all great recommendations. And Bruni always makes me laugh too 😂
