Contests and Giveaways Cancellation Announcement
That's already few months when I feel spending too much time in steemit trying to reach some more engagement. Unfortunately many months history of my weekly contests and giveaways do not really lead to any better result. It is impossible to find any additional supporters, or I'm not able too, whatever. It takes too much time without any reasonable feedback
There was some hope that "newsteem" will bring some changes, but regretfully nobody cares. It is clearly visible that no one of so called "good content curators" really do care about. You know who you are.. (oh well, guess they don't even come to my blog, so wouldn't notice)
So, sorry guys, but I'm fed up.. or burnt out.. something like this. Let's go back a bit to real life and much less efforts spent here....
For the contests which are already running the winners will be announced as the corresponding week ends.
Will still continue curating photography at Photostreem tribe as usual, here is no changes so far
Finally still have to say HUGE thanks to @drakos, one and only man continuously supporting all the fun we had during those month. Cheers mate!

this is real shit my friend and i'm so sad to read this. the content you got to these selections was so good.
i just remember that one year ago i tried some "my daily inspiration" tag and concept - not black and white, but very special everyday selections of some artists, dramatic, beautiful and speaking photographs every single day. no prizes but mentions. nothing got any attention from the whole steemit curation community even the stuff i found here was absolutely crazy.
^^ This is why i'm still doing the #portraitcontest right here^^ I absolutely love seeing all the amazing entries every week and that's why i'm still doing it! There are the few here that actually do give a crap @axeman and those are the people who are putting on and entering contests like these! If it wasn't for the amazing photography i see on a daily basis on this platform i wouldn't be here giving out my 4 cents worth of a vote multiple times a day. Don't give up man.. take a step back... burnout is real... come back with a fresh perspective!

😕 I feel the same way @axman "Nobody Cares!" I have been here posting daily for 3.5 years even when the price drops I keep blogging , I have done all kinds of stuff to get ahead or gain more followers including several contests with not much success. Especially Now Nobody Cares! I find the Veterans like myself Get 0 Recognition 0 Respect. But I do keep posting , Mostly curating! always hoping for at least one decent upvote once in a while or One new follower.
👍 But mostly my energy goes into building up my cards and investment on Splinterlands, and playing the game, Also I use as many New Tribe Tags as possible And Stake all my Tokens , so hopefully one day One of them hits it big and I gain more followers through various Tribes because STEEMIT SUCK LATELY! 😝

I think the first 2 years was the best, I sold most of my Steem when it was close to 8.00 per Steem! I used to be a Dolphin! so much has changed, and everyone always runs away when the price drops, then theres the flagging etc...😳
@axeman. I have seen you around. I am sorry that you feel the burn out. I felt it myself about 10 months back and took about 9 months off. Thankfully by break was counter-cyclical (hopefully). I think you are a talented photographer and I know that you know that. All I can tell you is take a break, get out there in real life and I am sure you will come back.
Just to let you know. It matters. There are people out there where it matters. And it is often beyond just an upvote. We have done that for a while and we know that it didn't work. So hoping the change might come from some other direction. At least that is the hope.
2 months back my SP was around 80K, today my SP is 438K; so clearly I am interested in the platform.
Please take a break, the volume of content you posted lately, especially in the last 2 months, is a clear recipe for a burnout. It is not a bad thing. Take time off and come back stronger. We will be waiting!
Well, the story is only to drop contests and giveaways... otherwise show must go on.. )

It is sad to acknowledge that #newsteem is not what it should be and it is more like the "paladins of downvote"... SAD!
Priorities are priorities and such decisions are always timely. Huge thanks for all your feedback and efforts!

Hey @axeman. I get you and thank you for running your contests, I've enjoyed entering them and mostly enjoyed your commentary on each photo. That was unique and I can see where you put the time in. It's a shame that it just isn't worth your time, I too have spent far too much time on Steem and also taking a step back.

Damn, its sad news. The way you gave an opinion on every shot was awesome. Well, one less photography contest in steem then. But I understand why quit.
Oh well, those short review were kind of last attempt to bring some attention and make all this idea much more valuable for the platform.. but who cares :)
