"Promoting Steem Engagement: Food Photography Contest [ROUND 2]"

Hello everyone! Let’s continue our Food Photography Contest Round 2! I was really surprised by the number of people who participated in my first ever contest! There were 22 entries if I remembered it correctly! You guys are awesome! Keep em’ comin’!

Again congratulations to the previous winners and also congratulations to all of us! Now for the love of food and as an effort to really encourage active participation in the platform, I will increase the prize pool to 5 SBD! Therefore, I will now pick 5 winners instead of 3 before.

The same rules applied! If you haven’t participated in the previous one, you can read the rules here. But the duration of the contest will be increased to 48 hours.

Anyway, the rules are these: first you must upvote this post. I will not require you to resteem this but I would encourage you to do so. This is to gather more people to interact with! Again all you have to do is to upvote, you don’t need to resteem!

Next, comment your photo below with a short description of you entry food (at least 2 to 3 sentences). Take note that you need to introduce the food and not explain why you liked it. All I want to know is what the food is (if it is not familiar to me).

You are only allowed to submit one entry. Again, I will pick 5 winners for 1 SBD each after 2 days. AGAIN, prizes will increase depending on the success of the contest. I know the prizes are still cheap but if you actively participate and engage with the people, you will build a strong network in steemit. This will help you become fruitful in the platform!

The event will end on Sunday, January 28, 2018 at 1PM (Philippine Time). You have 48 hours!

HAVE FUN EVERYONE!

P.S. I am also encouraging you to participate in my SELFIE/GROUFIE CONTEST, you can submit your entries here. This contest also promotes engagement in the platform! Thanks to @anomadsoul, @sultan-aceh and @xpilar for their support in this initiative!

The Typical German Breakfast

They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day. And if you plan to visit Germany, your breakfast will most probably consist of bread, cereals & milk, ham & cheese, sausage, apple, yogurt, boiled-eggs and orange juice. After eating, don't forget to say "köstlich" which means delicious! Photo taken via Samsung J7+.

Wow! Amazing photography! I am not really into this kind of foods but your photography is just amazing! Galing galing! Thanks for sharing us this Don @ruel.cedeno :D

I also can't survive if I have to eat this everyday. I need rice! Haha

You have to get used to it hahaha!

Halo-halo (tagalog word for "mix") is a popular Filipino dessert with mixtures of shaved ice and evaporated milk to which are added various ingredients, including boiled sweet beans, coconut, sago, gulaman (agar jelly), tubers and fruits. It is served in a tall glass or bowl.

Sweets are one of my guilty pleasures! Hahah it makes me wanna eat now.hahaha

Me, too. Hahaha

Hmmm looks good! Thanks for sharing!

This is a Filipino food and has a generic name of "pancit or pancit bihon". This yummy, flavory food is made from a pancit bihon noodles mixed with either corned beef, grind pork, "laman loob"/internal organs of cow or pig. What made this food special is that it is believed that once you ate it, it will give you a longer life.

The longer the strand of the bihon, the longer the life it would give you hahaha! Thanks for sharing man!

Bihon is life!

Have you ever tried eating this kind of Filipino food @asbonclz - You must try this one!

"Grilled Pusit (squid)"

Super easy and simplest way to cook squid, no need to add ingredients all you need is salt spread in the body of the squid and grilled it. Done!

Delicious Filipino local way of cooking, the way we fishermen cooked!

I am a fan of Filipino's way of cooking! Love the simplicity :)

My dinner for tonight, it is called Pigar-Pigar of Dagupan. Basically it is a fried carabeef, but it has a technique in how they sliced the meat making it tender and juicy. Then added just vegetables like cauliflower and cabbage on it.

It's somewhat like a beef steak with cabbage? Wow! I want to try this!!

Yes like beef steak but dry. Just add toyomansi in it like eating it. Pigar pigar is one of our local cuisine.

It looks good! I want to try one :)

Godzilla Sushi and Butabara.
Godzilla sushi is a Japanese preparation and serving of specially prepared vinegared rice combined with varied ingredients such as chiefly seafood ang vegetables.
While Butabara is a pork belly. Hehe
While eating, drinking beer is recommended.

FB_IMG_1517028759843.jpg

Why is drinking beer recommended? Is butabara somewhat like pork bbq? Hahaha!

to help digest faster. haha
usually its sake instead of beer but here in the Philippines, beer is much common than sake.
Butabara is different from pork bbq because butabara is from the pork belly and before cooking the skin should be peeled first. also its way of cooking is different. haha

Ahh okay, because it looked like bbq hahaha

gpasosyal rana na bbq oi. hahaha
