The week of challenging yourself to take a little more time and care on comments has come to a close.
I hope during the last few days a some of you started a new, exciting habit. 😍
As many of you already know, I had a bit of a freakout when I first launched this contest. You can read about it HERE. And as I generally find out, there was no need to freak out. 😏
After spending the last several days immersed in y'all's comment sections, I realized, that I hadn't taken into account that some people would enter and simply not complete the challenge. Thus, when I saw SO MANY entering early on, I ... (as we've covered) freaked out. I still spent HOURS reading comments, and truth be told, I only really read a handful of blogs (the ones I was interested in).
I started to kinda fall in love with a lot of you. 😍 And at the same time... kinda felt stalker-y. LOL! 😅 I was literally listening in to your conversations, learning what you love and hate, seeing what makes you laugh and cry. I got to get to know a handful of you that really reached out and shared with others in the community. It was a great experience for me.
On to the rewards!
- Some who entered did NOT complete the challenge they stated, but DID complete something.
- Some DID complete the QUANTITY required but did NOT take extra time and make thoughtful comments.
- Some got REALLY close (I gave it to ya).
- Some went ABOVE and BEYOND and made new connections and gained new insights by reaching out more than they normally would.
Feel like you were paid incorrectly? Didn't receive an award and wonder why?
Feel free to ask. I took really good notes while going through everyone's comments, but could have missed something.

I saw your post about having way too many entries in your challenge and thought to myself I'd keep my head underground as I could imagine the actual amount of work!
And then to wake up and check my Steemit and see that you dutifully went through everybody's pages and looked at the comment sections!
I was surprised to receive 0.5SBD but that just goes to show how much you care! I know you personally motivated me to make at least 4-5 new friends on here, interestingly enough! I hope that makes you feel better about all the payout you just gave!

I did make a promise to everyone when I made the post. I never go back on those, even if I need to cry for a few days (lol!), I'll always come back to my word.
I had a really great time going through everyone's comments and getting to know you. So THAT is pretty rewarding on my end. 😃 I also, WANTED to start giving back to the community, while at the same time motivating them to interact more (which is what I find the most rewarding).
I'm so glad you've made so many new friends! Though they are called followers, once you call them a friend you know you've made a connection that could last.
Keep an eye out, I'll be starting another challenge soon. One that's a little bit easy on me. 😉

It was a LOT of stuff. LOL! My notebook is pretty hilarious. And my poor husband, for several nights in a row, all I did was stare at the computer reading comments. 😂
I'm excited to re-vamp the challenge and start again. But first! I gotta do my fitness update, no matter how pathetic....🙄 OMG. I can't believe there are only 7 weeks left! I have to kick it into over time or I won't make my goals!

Haha unfortunately I think we're both bad members. I've been in for a while. But trying to be more active! I've been going through the #core list to at least follow everyone and be a better buddy.

Thank you! Yes! There will be more contests. And I suppose I SHOULD ask for donations to help me with payouts. I had originally thought I should be generating the SBD to give back to the community, but a little help goes a long way! And I'm not to the point where my posts are consistently paying out, so I can't rely on that just yet.
I've also never been much of a beggar. I guess I believe deep down inside that I can do it. 😎 I must learn to look at it differently, I suppose.
I freakin' LOVE that Steemit is FORCING me to overcome many of my shortcomings and really grow as a person.

You DID write MANY comments. But none that you took more than 10-20 seconds to write. The people who were rewarded for this post spent MUCH more time trying to CONNECT with people. I was able to learn a lot of things about folks just by their comments.
In the future, if you decide to pump up your comment game, just take some time to actually TALK to people on here. Give them FEEDBACK (in a few sentences, not just one) on their post. Tell them WHY you liked their post. Just saying, "Good job" isn't very helpful. I mean WHY was it good? What could they do better?
This platform is meant (at least from my perspective) to build RELATIONSHIPS. You gotta give a little to get a little.
People want to KNOW ABOUT YOU. This challenge was to show you that you gain more followers/friends by INTERACTING. And those that participated correctly, did see that outcome.

I'm figuring out how to make this a bit more doable for me so it can be on-going. I'll probably try a few different ways before I find one that (most) everyone likes AND that I can manage.
I'll probably get a new challenge out in the next few days. I've already got a pretty good idea of what to try next.
