What is your Favourite Song (and why)? My story

When I read about it today in the post from @bluemoon (so sorry about what happened to you, get well very soon!), I immediately knew - this is it!

The contest is initiated by @coingecko (rules). No one has nominated me, but this does not necessarily.

So, what do I have to do to participate?

1. Choose only 1 (One) Favorite Song.

That is impossible for me, as I am all made of music! Every morning I get up with new random favorite tune in my head. But sometimes... and it happens very occasionally, some tune get stuck in my head for a few days, or even for a week. I listen a different music during the day, but when sun goes down... it comes back to me, LOL.

As a person with musical education, I love many genres - rock, jazz, classics, electroswing... But this song is really special to me. It is from OST album to the film "O, Brother, Where Art Thou?" (2000). I can say it is my most favorite complete soundtrack to the film. Not just a couple of tracks, but entire album.

So what it is? - the impatient reader will ask. It is "You are My Sunshine".

Ok, I will be honest. When I saw that film for the first time, I was deeply in love. It was a story that sounds like a total nonsense for me now as a mother. I worked in IT department, it was a time when very few people knew about Internet. But as a person who worked for a telecommunication company, I had an Internet access. If a dial-up connection can be called so (do you know guys what is dial-up?). My world suddenly expanded its boundaries, and I was curious about what is the other world like. I met a few friends on the net. And one of them...

It turns out that we were born almost in same day (2 days diff), but me in Ukraine, and he in New Zealand. Sometimes we were like twins, sometimes quite different. I could not understand how it can be hot on the New Year, and what is rugby, and how can a young man go to USA for summer holidays for "work and travel". He told me - "You can make it", I replied - "It will never happen to me". All this things - sport, fun, travels, linen cloths... He asked me what is my salary, a salary of IT engineer. After my reply, he asked again - "Per day?" "No, per month". Well, we all here just survived.

I got it many years later. Things have changed very much for both of us. But we are still friends, and we can start to chat about anything no matter how many months we weren't in touch.

But there is still another reason why I chose this song. It is my theory, that this song came to USA from Ukraine. Yes, we have the song with the same tune, and a similar lyrics. I will put here links to both of them.

The video is recorded in the best mountains in the world - in Ukrainian Carpathians. The band and the singer are wearing a Hutsul costumes. Hutsuls are Ethnographic group of Ukrainians living in the Carpathians, their culture and customs are really unique. Long years ago many of them were forced to escaped to Canada and States.

I didn't foget about second rule:
