Today is incredibly hot and humid in Bangkok which makes me feeling very restricted and uncomfortable. The only solution is to get near the river as soon as possible. So, after lunch I walked to Sathorn Pier by the Chao Phraya River.

The tide is still very high and the river is full of force and energy. The strong sunshine is also showing off the full strength of its cosmic waves. I forget it is still mid day sun which enhances my mobile phone camera, the photos would look much clearer in this light. I climb all the steps from the bottom of the bridge up to the road above. It amazes me how the lunch hour traffic is very busy, people don't seem to take any break. Life is forever on the move and very busy. The motions of the waves and the movements of lives on the river are very invigorating. Everyone is living to their best ability in making a living or enjoying each day.

The Ghost Tower on the left side of the bridge is still empty and abandoned. It does not look very scary during the bright day. Across the bridge the, we can see the tall green glass skyscraper called the Water Tower. The nearby white building is the Peninsula Hotel. The white and gold design set of complex with the 'Twin Towers' is called "Icon Siam" which is famed for the biggest and most expensive shopping complex in Bangkok. So, they are using gold colour and putting gold tips on the top of the towers! This complex is supposed to be opening in November. I expect traffic havoc on the road during the first two weeks!

วันนี้อากาศร้อนมากทำให้รู้สึกเหมือนถูกกักตัวให้อยู่ในห้องแคบๆ ค่อนข้างอึดอัด ทางออกที่ดีคือการไปเดินเล่นริมแม่นํ้า และไปดูความเคลื่อนไหวของชีวิตที่โลดแล่นไปตามแม่นํ้า เราจึงไปหาข้าวกลางวันกินที่ใกล้แม่นํ้า แล้วก็เดินออกกำลังกายไปที่ท่านํ้าสาทรทันที จากนั้นก็ต้องเดินขึ้นบันไดจากข้างล่างไปบนสะพานที่มีรถยนต์แล่นผ่านไปมา ก็เทียบเท่ากับการเดินขึ้นตึกห้าชั้น วันนี้มีการจราจรหนาแน่น ทุกคนมีจุดหมายที่มุ่งไปให้ถึง ชีวิตนี่ต้องดิ้นรนกันไปทุกวัน ตอนนี้ระดับนํ้าในแม่นํ้าค่อนข้างสูง คลื่นนํ้าดูมีพลังมาก เราได้รับพลังแสงอาทิตย์ช่วงเที่ยงที่เผาทะลุเสื้อผ้า และพลังการเคลื่อนไหวของมวลนํ้ามหาศาล ก็หวังว่าจะทำให้ เกิดความสมดุลย์เหมือนหยินกับหยาง

เราได้ถ่ายรูปไว้ดูเปรียนเทียบความเปลี่ยนแปลงที่เกิดขึ้นริมฝั่งแม่นํ้า ตึกฝีสิงห์ที่อยู่อีกข้างหนึ่งของสะพานดูเศร้าและไม่น่ากลัวเหมือนตอนเย็น ส่วนตึกระฟ้าที่มี กระจกสีเขียวก็ท้าทายแดดสุดๆ ไม่กลัวว่าจะกลายเป็นเตาอบเลย ตึกสีขาวเหมือนป้อมปราการคือโรงแรมเพ็นนินที่เลิศหรูเป็นเหมือนผู้ดีเก่า ส่วนสิ่งก่อสร้างขนาดมหึมา สีขาวขลิบทอง และมีตึกระฟ้าสองแท่งคือ ไอคอนสยาม ที่กำลังก่อสร้างเกือบเสร็จ และจะเปิดทำการในเดือนพฤศจิกายน ที่นี่คือแหล่งช็อปปิ้งที่ใหญ่ที่สุดและแพงที่สุดในสยาม เราคิดว่าการจราจรจะติดขัดอย่างมหาศาลในสองสัปดาห์แรกของเดือนหน้า เราไม่อยากเชื่อเลยว่าเศรษฐกิจไทยไม่ค่อยดีและทัวร์จีนหายไปครึ่งหนึ่ง ที่นี่จะมีแต่สินค้าแบรนด์ดังๆที่แสนแพงเต็มไปหมด เราจะคอยดูว่างานเลี้ยงจะซาลงในเวลาอันรวดเร็วหรือไม่ แต่ที่แน่ๆคือเพื่อนที่มีหุ้นเริ่มบ่นให้ฟังแล้วว่าสิ้นปีอาจไม่ได้ผลตอบแทนมากนัก "การลงทุนมีความเสี่ยง โปรดศึกษาข้อมูลก่อนการลงทุน...."
