More Yard Skimboarding, Cigars, and Fantastic Pulled Pork

This past weekend was full of hot weather, skimboarding, poker, cigars, and good food. Working just four days a week, my wife and I are able to enjoy long weekends. In the Portland area we had temps of 95-102 for each of the three days, so my boys and I decided to set up the "tide pool" again to try a few new things.

Like skim-boarding while smoking? 😄

Speaking of smoking, pulled pork anyone?

We started with the "tidepool" again in the front yard, it worked fine just like a couple of weeks ago, Front Yard Skimboard Tidepool, but we still had areas that were deeper than other parts, which isn't the most ideal for skimboarding.

Yesterday, after a bit of thought, we decided to move it to the back to give it a test before we scrap this plastic sheeting for thicker and more permanent plastic. We found it much more level, but there are still a few kinks to work out, however I think it will be easier to work with in the backyard.

After we all gained more skimboarding skill, and of course bumps and bruises, a few of us played poker each night and smoked cigars.

I smoked 3 Padron churchills, two La Aurora Escogidos,

and a couple CAO Brazil Toro...

How about an ultra brief review on the CAO Brazilia cigar, full review coming tomorrow, so I suppose this is more of a pre-view?

A well priced cigar with an open draw and good construction. Notes of cocoa, earth, fruity sweetness, and a spicy finish made up the majority of the smoke.
