Unlocking the Power of Chrome: Day 20
I hope you have been able to keep up over the past month and a half, and I hope that you continue to follow along with me as I work to bring you some useful tools to enhance Chrome.
Down to Business
Have you ever been on a website that has a lot of thumbnailed pictures? Usually to view the images you have to click on them individually, then they open up one by one in the existing tab, or a new tab, or worse yet, a new window.
The extension I am going to cover today is called HoverZoom. You can add it to Chrome by visiting the Chrome Web Store here. The makers of the extension also have a website here.
The concept is pretty simple: if you are on a webpage having a thumbnail that directly links to an image file, you can hover over it with your mouse and see a larger version of the photo.
HoverZoom has several options:
- Allow support for video files
- Disable zooming with a keypress
- Disable zooming on specific sites
- Adjustable delay and fading effect
- Semi-transparent zoomed images
You can see the full list of features by right-clicking on the HoverZoom icon in the extensions area of your browser and choosing "options".
If you want an easier way to view linked image thumbnails on most any page, HoverZoom might be worth taking your time to check out.
If you have a Google Chrome extension you would like me to know about, leave me a comment. I promise to make it worth your while with a follow, re-steem, and upvote of one of your recent posts.

Cute extension, I can see that being pretty useful. Interesting they have a special case for video, but that makes sense. The regular full zoom options can't cover that use case.
Thanks,I thought it was pretty interesting. I am glad you were able to check it out. Thanks for the comment!
Congratulations! This post has been chosen as one of the daily Whistle Stops for The STEEM Engine!
