What can you do to be saved?

The Evangelist Billy Sunday was like a Billy Graham in his time.
One day, as he helped with the clean up after a large evangelical event, a young man came running to him and asked, "Are you Billy Sunday?"

The minister said, "Yes, I am." The young man said with concern to the preacher, "I Missed this event. Sir, can you please tell me what I must do to be saved?"
While still cleaning up the preacher said, "You're too late friend, you're too late!"
The young man asked surprised with shock, "You surely does not mean that I have to leave just because I missed the meeting?"

The minister quit his job and said, "Young man, if you want to do something to be saved, you are hundreds of years too late, in fact you are 20 centuries late! Everything that had to be done for your salvation has already being done 2000 years ago by Jesus on the cross. All you need to do is believe the good news, repent of your sins and trust Jesus as Lord and Savior,

And suddenly the young man understood. He sank to his knees. He trusted in the Lord Jesus, to Him alone, and what He did, and with remorse and creed he accepted the Lord Jesus ...
