THE MYSTERY OF GOD ACCOMPLISHED AT THE RAPTURE

in #christianity6 years ago

“But in the days when the seventh angel is about to sound His trumpet, the mystery of God will be accomplished, just as he announced to His servants the prophets.”—Revelation 10:7

The term “mystery,” as utilized in Scripture, does not describe information that is withheld, but rather, a biblical truth that people could not fathom for themselves without receiving divine revelation. A biblical mystery is a plan of God that has not, as of yet, been revealed. It is not a secret to be kept, but a progressive revelation. The following are some important biblical mysteries:

  1. The church as the body of Christ (Eph 3:1-11, 6:19; Col 4:3).
  2. The church as the bride of Christ (Eph 5:28-32)
  3. The translation of the living saints (I Co 15:51-52; I Thes 4:14, 17).
  4. The mystery of lawlessness (2Thes 2:7; Mat 13:33).
  5. Israel’s blindness in part until the full number of Gentiles has come into the Church (Ro 11:25).

A shoot will come up from the stump of Jesse; from His roots a Branch will bear fruit. The Spirit of the LORD will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and understanding. Isaiah 11:1–2a

Now the “Jesse” mentioned above was the father of King David. One title of the Messiah is the Righteous Branch, born of the royal line of David. The prophet Micah foretold that the ruler over Israel would be born in Bethlehem, the ancestral home of David’s clan, yet whose origins are from ancient times, that is, eternity (Micah 5:2). Jesus was born in Bethlehem and is the eternal God as well.

Luke’s gospel testifies that Jesus traveled to Nazareth, where he had been raised by Joseph and Mary, and went to the local synagogue (Luke 4:16). Jesus was a Jew from the tribe of Judah, and so then of David, but He was known as a Nazarene. But how was He was also known as a righteous branch? The Hebrew word, “nezer” is translated as “branch.” We have play on words between “righteous branch” and “Nazareth” in the Hebrew, with both pronunciations quite similar. Jesus’ genealogy testified to His Messiahship. The righteous branch was rooted in the royal family tree of David. (See Matthew 1:1–17; Luke 3:21–38.)

In Christ, the righteous branch, is hidden all treasures of wisdom and understanding. He is the mystery of God! Jesus Christ of Nazareth is both a name and a title: “The Anointed Branch Who Saves His People from Their Sin” (Matthew 1:21). The Lord Jesus Christ is the embodiment of all truth, wisdom, and understanding.

And He is the head of the body, the church; He is the beginning and the firstborn from among the dead, so that in everything He might have the supremacy. Colossians 1:18

For the mystery of God to be accomplished, the Body of Christ, the Church, must be raptured to join with Christ. At the rapture, Christ will be united forever with His church (1 Thessalonians 4:17). The union of the Head and the Body of the Church will accomplish the mystery of God. The firstborn from among the dead, Christ the firstfruits, or first resurrected from death, will be joined with the rest of the wheat harvest at the coming resurrection of the righteous. Christians may take great comfort in these words:

“At that time they will see the Son of Man coming in a cloud with power and great glory. When these things begin to take place, stand up and lift your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” Luke 21:27–28

In the days when the seventh angel is about to sound his trumpet, the following will be accomplished:

The full number of Gentiles will have come into the Body of Christ. The dead in Christ will rise first and those who are alive will be translated in the twinkling of an eye. The rapture will occur as lawlessness will be at its full. The whole unsaved world will be worshipping the image of the beast. The bride will be taken up to heaven for judgment as to reward and for the wedding feast of the Lamb. Israel’s spiritual blindness will be removed. All of these mysteries will be accomplished at the same time. HALLELUJAH!

Thank you very much, you opened my eyes to this scripture: I cannot believe that I never noticed it before, but that being said it is not so clear in my translation as here in the Good News Translation

It is that the stubbornness of the people of Israel is not permanent, but will last only until the complete number of Gentiles comes to God. 26 And this is how all Israel will be saved. As the scripture says,

“The Savior will come from Zion
and remove all wickedness from the descendants of Jacob.
27 I will make this covenant with them
when I take away their sins.”

Which translation do you use and do you believe is the nearest to the original scriptures? Are you on discord I would very much like to chat too you!

Yes, I am now a member of discord. I use an older NIV Study Bible but also http://biblehub.com/ which has many translations, commentaries, lexicons, etc. I am off to teach a Shabbat Bible Study, but when I have the time I would like to chat with you. as well.
