"Talk, Talk, Talk..." - Daily Word #23

Today I'd like to focus on a part of scripture that Paul is writing to the Corinthian church...in 1 Corinthians‬ ‭4:20‬ ‭NIV‬‬ (a)

“For the Kingdom of God is NOT a matter of TALK..."

The context from that chapter was that in those days, some people were a little FULL OF Themselves (Puffed Up based on their own accomplishments and spirituality. Some were also promoting a false understanding of what a Christian Life is about, hence talking / teaching wrong truth.

In today's world it is the same.

There are many who are promoting false way to get to God and even within the Christian circle they are opening up to what is considered defiled, of the world and bringing it into church. The devil comes to kill, steal and destroy, that's his strategy and the use of clever middle-of-the-road Theology, Truth and Talk is confusing everyone.

This is not what Jesus wanted his church to be!

What can we do?

Simple. Just go back to the Truth. Begin to just Talk / Minister / Share the Word and whatever that is good, pleasing and acceptable to Him. Don't waste your time with idle talk that profits nothing.

And of course there's the other side of having TOO MUCH Talk without any ACTION. And I believe Jesus wants us to also begin to SHOW more Love in Action and not just the normal "God bless you" or "I'll pray for you" as our standard answer. Let's really move with and in COMPASSION to make our love real.

"I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat. I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger, and you took me into your home. I needed clothes, and you gave me something to wear. I was sick, and you took care of me. I was in prison, and you visited me."

Let's Talk / Speak Truth and begin to also Live Out of Faith through Actions! Amen?
