"Beholding Presence..." - Daily Word #70

They say Beauty lies in the Eyes of the Beholder. How true! Especially when two persons madly in love with one another, are ONLY able to see the attractive and positive nature without blemish or fault.

I wonder as Believers, how do we come to God? What are our attitudes like, when we come to Him with our Praise and Worship?

As a Worship Leader, I often notice people come in their own special way. That's fine and good, but I'm always intrigued to find out if that's their BEST response coming to God to "Behold His Presence" -- like it's the most important things to do in their lives.

2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (NLT)

"But whenever someone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. For the Lord is the Spirit, and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord. And the Lord—who is the Spirit—makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image."

The Word of God above tells us that when we ENCOUNTER God, we will never be the same again.

We will experience Freedom. We will experience His Glory. And as we allow ourselves to be continually touched by His Presence (as we come to Him daily), we will become more and more like Him, changed from Glory to Glory.

There's a Hebrew Text called HEI (ה) and it has the pictorial of a man with both arms raised to signify "Behold".

It's like when you and I are awestruck with something so spectacularly beautiful, we are bound to "look" and even point up to this marvellous sight. Like an sun eclipse, a blood moon, a double rainbow or an amazing sunset or dusk sky.

Isn't it NO coincidence that the Holy Name of GOD YHVH has a Double HEI (ה)

So for someone to BEHOLD the very beauty of His Presence, it is just infinitely wonderful that words cannot even express!!! And all that we can do is to adopt that stance, with both hands raised in complete surrender to the Wonder of Your Matchless Grace, Mercy and Love.

It reminds me of the old song that we use to sing at Church "I Stand In Awe of You (Beautiful Beyond Description)"
