Chocolate Week 4/5 : Superbly posh! @ Günther Watté Chocoladecafé (Antwerp, Belgium)

Hello again, and Happy Valentines' Day to you all lovely steemians! It's the 4th episode of my Chocolate Week blog, today's pick is 'Günther Watté Chocoladecafé'. It is without a doubt, one of the poshest chocolate cafes I've ever been to. If you're a grown-up and fancy pairing a top class coffee (or in my case a really good dark hot chocolate) with a few luxurious Belgian pralines in a quiet yet cozy space, then this place is for you.

Hidden gem in the high-fashion district of Antwerp :

Antwerp is a very fashion conscious city in Europe after Paris, Milan, London, and the most fashionable and modern city in Belgium. People walking on the street here are effortlessly well-dressed, and you can tell they really know how to enjoy fashion. You also see very often people who are obviously in the fashion industry by the way they dress (colourful tight trousers, leather shoes without socks, etc, you know what I mean). This chocolate cafe 'Günther Watté' is located on a lovely side street in the high-fashion district of Antwerp.

Ambience:

It is posh and classy, with well-selected furniture, such as black velvet chairs and crystal chandeliers. Lighting is fantastic, soft and indirect. It's a mature setting to indulge in real good quality coffee and chocolates.

My choice for today:

These are the two of their signature pralines I brought back home with me. In Belgium, you can go to any chocolatier and buy just 2 or 3 pieces of pralines, that's no problem. They have a tiny plastic bag for that. You don't have to always buy a proper box, sometimes just pop in, pick a few pieces and eat them on the way home, on a train, after dinner at home, anywhere! Isn't that great?
