Charitable deeds, let's crowd-fund for kids in Bangladesh, fruits and snacks every week, nr. 38

in #charity6 years ago

Hello! I have been baking a cake all evening(failed once, tried the second time) and that is why I am here so late. It is my birthday tomorrow and I have so many more things to do :D I am running late because of my cake troubles but I will live. I will survive! And, without further ado, let's jump into the order of today's business.

All proceeds from this post will go to @SchoolForSDG4, created by @Azizbd, to help host a weekly fruit program and/or provide educational materials for the kids.

Here is a recent post from @SchoolForSDG4

Another week filled with juicy apples. How time flies, how weeks go! My mind is a little overloaded and I would love an apple for myself, here. They are really expensive at this time and the taste is not the greatest, unfortunately. I hope the little ones have the best apples though! They deserve it. They deserve the best opportunities in life. And, the apples ought to be delicious. The weather in Bangladesh is warmer so I would like to think that apples there are juicy and sweet. I know, I know. The grass always seems greener on the other side but this time I do hope it is true as I would love to know the little ones are enjoying what they consume :)

The kids are also going through an exam week. Again? Yes, again! Those little ones are going to be brainiacs(very, very smart) if they keep it up like this! :D I hope all of them do well and do not copy their work from each other. Let's be honest, though, who hasn't copied at least once in their lives? But I do hope them to have their own heads and be able to solve problems on their own. Math and other.

Look how happy little Faruk is! I think he is proud. He sure looks like he is. And he should be. Look at all that writing! It brings me back to a time when I was in first grade and everyone was writing with pencil then. Those who had trained their handwritings to the teachers' standards got pens. I was one of the last kids who got mine. Yeah. I have a horrible handwriting. I should have become a doctor...

This boy in the pictures above is Alal. The boy sells vegetables when he is not attending school. This is not that hard of a job compared to what other kids have to do during their day. I think and I take this from my own childhood, that kids should have enough time to play and train their imaginations that way. School alone takes a lot of energy and work for a kid might block his creative flow. I do think some work training is good but in Latvia, we have this saying: What is too much, creates too many negatives.

ADSactly post is being prepared as well. It needs some work and all but it is coming along nicely. Also, the lunch program will take place soon. Again. Yes, yes, yes! That is great! How long do you guys think it will take to get the program rolling on a more constant basis? I hope not long. We will see. I think there will be more opportunities in the future for us to give more to the kids!

All the pictures are recent and provided by @azizbd, any questions about the project can be resolved with him, he will be happy to answer any questions if you are interested to help this project and have any idea about how to make it better. Heck, he will even get up at 4 AM in the morning just to talk to somebody about ideas. Here is a link to his steemit chat: https://steemit.chat/direct/azizbd
