Fatherfaith foundation launch one meal a day campaign
Let me start by thanking @damarth for this one meal a day initiative. One Meal a Day is a steemit charity action to struggle against famine.
Fatherfaith foundation is a foundation started some years ago and this foundation has been doing it's best to help people in need. The foundation was started by me supported by some friends but due to financial constraints, the foundation has not been able to do much.
I was introduced to steemit last year and I made up my mind that a large percentage of what I get from steemit will go into fatherfaith foundation. This I've been doing and we have been able to help people that are in need by paying school fees, helping people with clothing materials, food stuff and drugs for the sick.
I read @damarth post on Saturday 3rd of February 2018 about one meal a day, but before then we were planning to celebrate the birthday of a friend and a colleague on Monday 5th of February 2018. Immediately I read @damarth post, I made up my mind that the birthday will be celebrated with people that cannot feed themselves with a meal in a day. I put a call through to her and asked her to choose a place of her choice. She chose FCT school for the blind, Jabi, Abuja here in Nigeria.

When we got there we met their choir rehearsing. When I heard their sweet voice, tears was rolling down my eyes. Though they are helpless, their talent is out of this world. I've never seen any choir sing the way they sang even with their disability.
We were all happy to celebrate with them. We serve them meal and also donated some materials to them. They prayed for the celebrant and also sang sweet songs for the celebrant.
This is the first one meal a day campaign and many more will still come
I want to say a very big thank you to @damarth for bringing this initiative and also helping people out with one meal a day. He has also been sponsoring people that are ready to help others with one meal a day.
I also want to thank the founders of steemit most especially @dan and @ned for given us this platform. Steemit has indeed help a lot of people out of poverty.
I appreciate the effort of @cryptoctopus helping steemians project through his Pitch Me Your Project post.
Not forgetting the ever generous @surpassinggogle #teardrops token helping people to wipe away their tears.
I also appreciate the efforts of great steemians in helping people out of poverty, @blocktrades, @swissclive, @sydesjokes, @beanz, @stellabelle, @sweetsssj and many others.
I will not fail to also appreciate the good work of great Nigerian steemians. The likes of @gbenga, @ehiboss, @fistegenos, @misterakpan, @pangoli, @ejemai, @tojukaka @destinysaid, @sparkles, @missendowed, @nairadaddy, @ogochukwu, @susan, @samstickkz, @eurogee and @smyle of #euronation, @stevemoses and @praise-eu of #flaminghelpers, @christian-trail, @wilx, @abuja-steem and the whole of Abuja steemians, @xpency, @anjiba, @Jacobite, @chiama, @mickey1036, @damascene and many others.
