Comment interaction is WAY more entertaining than the original post.
The original post is definitely what pulls you in - and valuable! Because you need a vehicle for the initial introduction!
But after that? the comment section is what keeps you there!
Original post - the spark.
Comment section - the slow burn. (all in favor of slow burns, say aye.)
When I originally posted my "introduceyourself" post, (and nah - i'm not gonna re-post it here. If you're interested...you can look it up later LOL) I did it for the fun of it. Just to be different.
Who wants to hear about my real life, when they can hear about a surreal life?!?
so i posted it. and was happy with it.
but then the comments started! and that's where you can see the fun, imaginative, playful side of people coming out.
great banter :)
...and that's where the reeeeeal potential for connections are made!
The original post is one-sided, semi-distant, wonderfully appreciative communication (good)- whereas the comments are the interesting, up-close interaction (so much gooder! tee hee).
The original post is St. Basil's cathedral, while the comments are the little Russian train station cafe that serves hand-made pelmeni. (yummy!)
The original post is Michelangelo's David, while the comments are Robert Downey, Jr.
... yes, you can still argue that RDJ is still "untouchable" but this is my post, and my surreal life. please do not tell me that I will not one day meet RDJ and have pelmeni with him. (so much yummier!!!)

and so in conclusion, I think everyone should read interesting posts. Don't stop doing that. And you should vote on the ones that impress you! Of course - continue this!
But if you've found a live one... definitely stick around and play!

Re the tags - yes you have them ....you could also use til (things I've learned), story - if you write one, fiction, or blog depending on the topic.
For this particular post I would drop introduceyourself because that one is used for one time when you introduce yourself.
I would add til - because that's what you were talking about - things you've learned so far being on Steemit.

I think I might modify that slightly to say it may be OK to use if you are expanding upon your introduction, revealing something new and fundamentally significant about yourself?

I would say for tags you got it man, for the most part tags are going to be exactly what they seem. :)

Personally I would prolly tag this thoughts writing challenge30 thats just me however.
This really isnt #introduceyourself ... you could maybe get away with #story but really you can make a tag for what ever you want, you only need one tag really :)

TIL№2 when you type that long line in your header of the post you get or in the link , so

TIL stands for "Today I Learned" its appropriate for a shorter post where you are discussing something that you recently learned about. This post looks like TIL to me :)
I honestly just stick to general tags for my posts, I write a lot of about science and biology so its pretty easy for me. You had included the tags that I thought fit well writing, life, challenge30 I am unfamiliar with the tag, but thats likely the initiative you discussed in the post.
Your goal in putting tags is to give your self visibility but remain appropriate to your topic. There is no shame in a post with only three tags, especially when two of those tags are prominent (writing and life). You will get visibility :)
So my advice is, do what you did! Place a few good tags, and if you cant fill up all five, its okay! Not every post has that much variety to require all the tags.
